"Apathy, What is Apathy?"
Apathy, what is apathy?” I think I heard that line in a movie, or someone asked in Philosophy… Anyway, forget history, it is our children who will aim and shoot; ashamed even, that our complacency and blood ruins their veins.
Everyday we witness the slaughter of innocence and choose not to do something. We throw a full bowl in the bin right next to the starving then rush back in to our mansion and call the police on the hopeless sleeping outside because they are messing with our lawn.
But again, We are the same people who veto peace for war. ...

Hush Yourself
Mired in perpetual outrage
the mind of convention is conceited
for rage is not the way of the sage
but just a brain, of decency, depleted.
Oh, we are all very dysfunctional
but I hesitate to call it sin
when it is work just to be punctual
about when our labors begin.
And it is easy to lapse into thinking
that ours is the only duress,
or that the apocalypse is brinking
because a dude walked by...wearing a dress.
So, please, do not speak of cultural wars,
It only confirms us as bigotry's whores!

No Monarchies!
Of the rich the poor should be suspicious
since we remember from old afflictions
that too much cash makes them injudicious
and prone to corruptions and addictions.
Evil hides behind tradition's shield
and unchecked influence leads to bad things
which is why old Yankees took to the field
to tell the world that...WE DON'T NEED KINGS!
Yet now we're told to kiss the rich man's ass
and that any sort of foment is treason.
But sometimes, when the boss is ungodly crass,
that fomented voice...is the voice of reason!

The Unappreciated Woman
Just take a good look at me;
My frame is attractive!
It does the unsated
appetite of the chauvinist
fuel.
My curves and your fantasies
are mutually inclusive!
Without them, dreams
are truncated.
But I am an orgasmic
symbol.
The self opinionated chauvinist
designs me in his sub-conscious
to serve and be utterly subservient.
I am incarcerated as a chef,
and timeless baby sitter.
A baby machine for a
patriarchal dynasty.
My education is a threat to chauvinist ego.
My ignorance hones his misogynist...

Ironic
In America we are:
So connected were are disconnected
So #Woke that we are asleep
So enslaved that we think we are free
So busy chasing money that we are spiritually broke
So convinced we are true believers in our religions that we are brainwashed
So wrapped up in politics that we are puppets
So fixated on our destination that we forget to love the company we keep along the way
So hungry we eat food so fake that it is dangerous to intake
I hope all of the words above are an enlightening tonic
but for me...

The crown and her puppets
Two sides pulling each other,
I am right, you’re wrong, it’s either us or them,
The third enjoying the thrill of observation,
The diplomats pretending to be neutral.
Truth seems to be blurred,
But every one is right by their own accord,
Tit for tat but the opressor and the oppressed are embodied in one character,
Rationality and logic are intertwined in a web of emotions,
The others think they’re intelligent, the others think we are stupid.
The oppressed and the oppressor has chosen to stay quiet,
We’re feeding them...

Sadly, you mistake me
Clearly
Evidently
The bucket of fucks
Empty
Stuck on you
No
Nah
Never
Was never that wild rover
No
Nah
Never
Those wicked games
You continually play
Time after time
On a road to nowhere
Cold
Bitter
Alone
Dead end
See Dhampirs carry immunity
From vampire bites
The mirrors truth
What you Projected
Was death
Live backwards
Evidently
The bucket of fucks
Empty
Stuck on you

Felt in the bones
Barren hopes of the reservation
when dignity is stripped away
wars, with their precipitation
tribes long gone, deaths flooded plain
Custodians, tended it with loving touch
violence came and conflicts crunch.
As in Hiawatha's song
that ideal`s gone
so long held and right was trumped
Wordsworth's lines ring clearly, truths
spirits stir, ancestors ghosts still ride
If poetry could turn the tide
stallions with flaming hooves
a trial where nothing was denied
A heritage of beads and feather ...

State Terrorism
A young man recently received life sentence for illegal possession of a firearm.
This action by the government of Jamaica is no less than oppression.
Some may disagree with me, but the tyrannical state alone should not be armed.
The stupid police like to brand ghetto youths as criminals and gunmen.
Consider the fact that the biggest criminals are politicians, the members of parliament.
Moreover, every person who uses a gun is a gunman or a “gunwoman.”
If we did not have resistance in our society to stand up for our rights,

mental shackles
There is little hope for us until we become tough-minded enough to
break loose from the shackles of prejudice, half-truths, and down-
right ignorance.”—Martin Luther King, Jr.
zoot scales fell from my eyes,
but i did not yet know
that light was mine, if only i would look;
brute chains fell from my thighs,
yet i did not know how
to move along where, years, no step i took.
when sighted men fall blind
by willful ignorance,
then shall all else, for vision-lack, bear blame?

The Books of History
How many Negroes have you captured from Africa and brutally enslaved?
Tell us, how many human beings have you exploited and oppressed?
How many people have you wrongfully accused and convicted in your unjust courts?
Evildoers, how many innocent souls have you sent to the gallows?
How many times have you stolen our gold, silver and diamonds to gain wealth?
Can you recall how many villages you have pillaged and destroyed?
How many lies have you told to persuade voters to elect you political leaders?
Teachers, how many youths have you...
