Come at Me Bro!
The Great Decapod Crustacean War
General Clawdius Herman Shellby Pincer VIII stood on the rock
He had come from a long line of warriors since the Jurassic era
His family were more defined by their extra thick exoskeletons
Their species are one the longest living creatures on planet Terra
An army of a million crabs had gathered there in the ocean floor
Ready to go to war as General Pincer VIII encouraged the troops
He spoke to platoons, sergeants, chieftains, captains and crabtains
Advising that the enemy is fast and catches them in groups ...

Perverts, Politicians and Pyromaniacs
Psychopaths and perverts
Linger in the shadows
Of the night stopping only
Long enough to up the ante
In the war against malcontents
And fading politicians who are
Serving up deep-fried linoleum
To the public
When they're not selling
Propane to the pyros
Spurred on by
The cosmic karma backlash
Where the weak are
being spoonfed their
Daily dose of scorn
Somewhere, in the shadows
The perverts easily commiserate
Beating on their pale chests
Shouting "The beasts,
They will not die."

The Weight of a Man - Excerpt #4
February 12, 2021
This afternoon I opened my dresser drawer and pulled out the envelope that contained my dream and read it again. I could hardly believe it was coming to fruition and while it astonished me, I found comfort in knowing that he would soon be in my bed just as he was now in my life. I hadn’t opened the envelope since I sealed it just under a year ago, right after writing it upon waking up that morning. I took a pic of the torn envelope and the dream to memorialize the occasion.
Tonight, as I was crawling back up his body, with my wild hair in my face,...

The Weight of a Man - Excerpt #5
December 11, 2020
Xavier came over at about seven o’clock and we saw each other for the first time in practically a lifetime. When I opened the door and saw his huge sprawling figure, deep brown eyes and that bright smile, my knees nearly gave out and I leaned against the door frame for support. “Hello Xavier Crown,” I said with much more fearlessness than I had. His bright eyes and smile lit up the hallway as he said hello and I could only point the way to my apartment door. I was at a loss for words. I made sure to walk behind him though. There was no way I was letting...
