The demon in my heart
I dream of you every time I lay, and
when the climax is getting good, I awake
To a world I’m all so used to
A reality I’ve been trying to yell adieu.
And in this crevice I know I deserve,
But love never seems to want to serve.
Oh how I wish the demon in my heart
Could just love me so much that we depart.

I have matured to be me
more than least
Greater than I could have
fathomed ………… imagined
I am the only me that has
been or will be
even when I fail
(I still fall often)
I am still, no less,
the better, me

resilient, strong………kind
I will experience
more facets of me
as I age into
oblivious, abyss of a
chaotic universe
as pure energy

Beyond the veil of words and forms
there lies a realm of light and love.
Where mystics soar like graceful swans
and taste the bliss of good above.

Go on Faith!
Scorched sand sizzled hot with a blister.
Rising heat sucked the air out the day
and the motionless Sun, like an unblinking eye,
poked bones and my brains in its way.
I buckled to my knees from exhaustion
and my face hit the sand full flat.
Without water, each breath was a dry pain hurting
and my blood thickened more from its lack.
A pump handle shimmered in the day’s heat
and I focused crawling to it ‘cross the land.
Hanging there was a sign “Go North five feet.
Dig for water in a box in the...

Cuckoo Spit

Cuckoo Spit
Often feels like never
yet knowing it’s been
along, long time
Forever
Since I’ve had to stop
being indolent
and write.
A year of only daily journaling
makes me rusty
where thoughts chip away
at my creativity.
The submissive in me
I suppose,
causes me to sign up to
the challenge of
writing one spill a day
for thirty days
I KNOW I can vomit crap
wth little effort
It’s the attempt to spit
quality thick saliva
that is not that simple ...

What is la la la?
The sun goes down like a song
I heard my mom sing
in a kind of la la la way.
The only thing remaining is
that fragment of mother in sound.
The sun sounds like a metal chain
falling in the rain and piercing my brain.
La la la sun days.
The sun is shining in a drop of water
that traveled millions of years
through the universe
just to evaporate in milliseconds.
La la la mom.
I heard my mom sing
in a kind of la la la way.

Golden Laughter
Bring me the cups of golden wine
from Persephone 's tended vineyard
trampled by beautiful celestial virgins
to fill the barrels of god's
let us drink and make merry
for life is short and fleeting
no whispers of malicious envy
or of things that hurt or sting
friendship forged on golden air
glitters of dusts anointing hearts
it's all well and fine here
for none go beyond the deep
let's dance around the table
to music and songs performed
by bards around the room
