weightlessness
A very common caterpillar
eating leaves non-stop.
She dreams of being a butterfly...
Could have been a butterpillar
or it could even be a caterfly...
Ends of the same Gordian knot.
eating leaves non-stop.
She dreams of being a butterfly...
Could have been a butterpillar
or it could even be a caterfly...
Ends of the same Gordian knot.

cold coffee
my mind
hotly
concentrates
on writing
words,
stretching
thousands
of miles,
never
stepping away
from
my chair,
now,
my coffee
has turned
cold.

red-blood ink
each morning
the pen
pricks
your finger,
you watch
as the
blood-red ink
seeps out,
absorbed
into
the bandage
of recycled
paper.

Metaphorical Mathematics
a metaphor
is really just
an equation
between
an idea and a
thing
a concept
described by an adjective
related to an object
like
simple addition
of cement
gravel and
water
to make concrete
math
multiplies into
architecture

Sun Goddess
Grey, it's a poor man's blue
It's my eyes, without you.
~
A window pane, revealing
through the frost of the glass
A light unknown; be known
A sun, unsurpassed
Winter held and winter chilled
as my eyes bled away all vision
But a ray of light, now in sight
touched within my prison
She laid her flower down to ground
with the moisture of my kiss
And this said sun, known but to one;
I blessed it with my tenderness
Her softest light, a touch of gold
to value all that she may handle ...
It's my eyes, without you.

REVERE
Pain is just a message
That something has gone poorly
Your nerves command
A horse through town
The moment before
Healing begins
That something has gone poorly
Your nerves command
A horse through town
The moment before
Healing begins

We lie on the bed
Perhaps a foot apart
I see you turn
Onto your side
Signaling you are now
A stand of redbud
Ready for harvest
I mush myself against you
Collect sticks
For our basket
CUDDLE HARVEST

daytime stellar nurseries skinnydipping into the Now
magnetic windblown
memories
curve horizonward
like civilizations forgotten
fractal tears
unwept
history's arc
pooling intoxicatingly
a distilled concoction
rising
scorched and triumphant
breath perfumed
with poesy
pile of masks
discarded
cityscapes of sandcastles
glittering through stained-glass thoughts
immutable soul beauty
rebuffing tide's twinkling caress

Idolatry
Now that I worship your beauty;
A religion in the making.
I'm 'bout to go against God.

spice
your words were dark spices...tantalizing
exotic to the taste of the mind
where metaphors slept
waiting to be awoken
in the cool recesses of thought
to come to life later
