Look at the stars, they shine for you
While both our hearts, they play a tune
Which makes the world seem at ease
As we get away from these city streets
Beneath the dim light, and fireflies
Your eyes shine bright, and come alive
I see Static bumps across your skin
Releasing energy, and pulling it in
Whether with a kiss, or just a look
And enough feelings to fill a book
It slowly builds, burst and shatter
On our fiery flesh, and pulsing patterns

can be like flimsy paper;
any errant wind is liable to take it away.
In romance, security is an illusion.
Red flags are like little surprises.
We screw up when we ignore them.
Fantasies blind us to reality.
Even a lover's friends can be red flags.
Lessons are often learned with a heavy heart,
if at all.
Be realistic:
no one is perfect.
If being alone is better—

so be it.
