The Gauntlet
Tsun-a-mi's.
Soon a mis 'tis,
coming,
all enveloping truce.
Ship bashing against asleep to slap me from it,
Steel, a sloop still crashes and crinkled,
cut the surface tension,
To fall upon a saturated bed.
She pushes on the swell to leave a waking divide in the dawn.
I take to the bow,
it dips into a wet wall, swipe, and salt washes all that was away,
presents a new plight.
Twilight in the mind field and Hokusai.
Japanese traditional lucid anxiety,
candid astray,
iron cast...a -way there.
The stern...
