Unexpected
The arctic motion’s
exposure been uncovered by
kryptonite’s congeniality,
delightful crimson’s leads
banned by solar moon’s infidelity,
As messengers spectate waves of fibbers,
lyrical pattern bestowed upon shadows...
of those,
Horrified by meaning of
Trials,
Mind set’s delicacy
Strained ,
impeccably,
Failed to decipher,
purposes,
As masters plot masterpieces,
Instinctual,
Anticipated meditation
schemes
against elementals,
Contextual,
The motions of arctic

ALLITERATION: The Sneaky, Slimy, Slithering, Serpenty-Snake
The sneaky, slimy, slithering, squirming snake silently sat shamefully,
Stupendously-stumped.
The seated, sizzling, sneaky, slimy, slithering serpent still stupendously-stumped,
Squirmed slowly searching signaling scents.
With no stopping the squirming, silently-sneaky, slithering, shamefully-stumped serpent searching sign, the snake slithers sizzling surround sound.
Only with punishment, the slithering, slimy, silent, shamefully-stumped serpent stops sin-searching.
Now, be a bumble bee, buzling big bumble bubbles and not a sneaky, slimy,...
Stupendously-stumped.

Poetry Response to “Force”
by Kay Ryan
I’m much too Gordian
(so I’ve been told)
still being left here sold
on double tied laces.
As if being complex,
is now some sort of hex;
a curse since my birth.
But how do I untie
a truth knotted into lie…
when I cannot find either end.

Liary
Left lying here in the dirt
I have the right to hurt
as I deny each lie
I have the right to hurt
as I deny each lie

The Other Side
The truth cannot be denied
when seen on the other side
when viewed all by itself
just a rare jewel upon the shelf
But this mirror only distorts
deflects all meaningful retorts
any new chance to receive
any plan to reconceive
For all plans and schemes
are mere fodder for dreams
meant to be dreamt in the night
another lofty quatrain to write
So, what then is really real
about these feelings I feel
about these thoughts I think
jotted down in...

Within these Lines
It seems my darkness then shines
somewhere within these lines
somewhere safely kept
along with these tears I wept
Believing only the truest lies
instead of any alibis
I find along this lonely way
mere words I cannot unsay
For such are those things
from polishing brass rings
that sparkle bright in the sun
blinding and luring everyone
To both lie and then forsake
any covenant we dare make
keep our hearts ever alone
until we finally do atone ...

Unravel
Tangled webs do not weave
themselves…
or remain long upon shelves
without a little help
For lies that are retold
always remain bold
until the truth finally seeps in
bleeds through the page
No matter the literary age
each knot that is tied
cannot remain denied
when the words at last show
Revealing all they know
about the scheme of things
grounded dragonfly wings
that still do glisten in the sun
Reminding each and everyone ...
themselves…
or remain long upon shelves
without a little help
For lies that are retold

bleeds through the page
No matter the literary age

Left to Write
All alone in the dark night
I am once again left to write
left to face this doubt and sin
this truth still lying deep within
With these sins unrevealed
I live a life thinly concealed
buried up to the thrusted hilt
in a swell of ink yet unspilt
So, why then is it so
I long for the black murky flow
of thick ink upon a blank page
the only way to douse this rage
As if finally coming clean
will retore some pretty sheen
on a past continuing to rot
despite this silence I have bought
...

Veiled Truths
They lie awake in the night
awaiting any spark
any inkling in the dark
anything to provide some light
For all that they now conceal
are part secret and part regret
along with memories I can’t forget
left here waiting for the big reveal
While these things I have learned
carried down through the years
steep in the brine of my tears
ash all the bridges I have burned
Since life with its deep lessons
is rarely then satisfied
with...

Pierce the Veil
I long to pierce the veil
unmask each deep betrayal
I have ever come to know
learn from all they will show
About the meaning of things
with any comfort that brings
to the passing of my days
leading me out of this malaise
For my life is a testimony
steeped in a deep acrimony
for all of these many years
briny and vinegared in tears
When all truth becomes lies
nothing more than alibis
for the crime I have committed
with no chance of being acquitted
Knowing no matter my plea ...
unmask each deep betrayal
I have ever come to know
learn from all they will show
About the meaning of things

Sifting
The sands of my life flow
such fine grains
such lasting pains
gather at my weary feet
Both victory and defeat
continue to linger
point their lone finger
straight at me
Who I long to be
who I also end up being
still left again unseeing
what I am meant to see
Lessons here unlearned
bridges now burned
with me still crossing
striving to reach the other side
With a truth so denied
living a life of lies
with no real surprise
as I continue ... sifting
such fine grains
such lasting pains
gather at my weary feet
Both victory and defeat
continue to linger
point their lone finger
straight at me
Who I long to be
who I also end up being
still left again unseeing
