Tomorrow's Forecast
Foreign element in the air
A wayward wind finds me
Without any comfort there
As if it wants me to see
No more second guessing
Waiting for the next scandal
Somebody steals a blessing
It’s more than I can handle
Truth is a real eye-opener
It reveals the obvious lies
Watch without the filtered blur
As they fuck wealthy spies
Weasels in the hen house
Buying information online
Silent like a church mouse

First and Last Kiss (Ending)
We both went to the small kitchenette and found two Dixie cups. I followed him to his office and watched as he pulled a small bottle of Gin and tonic out of his small refrigerators under his desk.
After pouring us both a cup we did the customary tapping and took a drink. Closing my eyes and just enjoying the floral scent most gins have as it went down.
“It’s good right?” He asked as I opened my eyes to see him looking at his own cup in thought.
“Have a seat. We should not stand around after enjoying this gem.”
I smiled and went to the recliner in...

sanctuary of heart interpretated

lest anyone see how soft I am
my heart alters according to my need

Dear Diary,
I’m a grown woman with the mental age of a twelve year old tween.
I’ve started reading and writing poetry. Dont ask. I don’t know why? Kind of wish I was better at it. There are a shit ton of people on here who know what they’re doing. I’m not one of them.
I ate my weight in cookies today because I was mad. Super mature decision. I’m sure I’ll throw them up later.
I’m working over time to present the world a nice version of me. Epic. Fail. I want a drink and I wish I smoked. But that’s dumb I’d just end up with a headache and stinky breath....

ragged-edges on my breath, on my body
The living room
had that cozy fall glow
as the day waned
and my body peaked
under your curiosity
The satin robe
I’d hidden in
pooled at my feet
like melted ice cream
as your knuckles
traced my collar bone
before you took me gently
to the floor
And made a crime-scene
outline around my body
with your exhale
My hair fanned on the carpet
skin dimpled with chills
as your lips
investigated
each white line
on my long body
My eyes squinched shut
fist balled ...

keepin' it movin'
I'll be honest
I don't know my full purpose
why I'm here
as fractured as a cracked egg
held together only by the tissues inside
but that's life...isn't it
an enigma tattooed in damage & stigmas
steps sometimes faltering
...others defiant
I don't know what tomorrow holds in its fist
only that it won't offer me an early glimpse
so I fumble...stumble...trundle along
one foot after the other
picking myself up when I'm beaten down
& limp off to try again
no...I don't know why I'm here
what I'm put on this...
