Draws Down, Face Up
A homeless man in New York found a manhole in the Bronx that was just out of the way enough to offer him some privacy, so he routinely used it as a toilet. One day he lost his balance and was found dead at the bottom of the sewer. Draws down, face up.

AGAINST THE WORLD
It's me again the story teller of words ✍️ that will have you thinking about the very words, I write ✍️ and speak with truth and genuine understanding of what is truly, happening in the very world 🌎 of today's society. For the world as it is now isn't the world, that you and I remember as the world of yesterday, as it's has been changed. YET in so many ways 😞 it has change right before our very eyes, 👁️ making us feel like a lost soul just wondering, how did we get here in this day and time ⌚ For we have become an extension of...

Everythings Fine
There are bigger things to worry about than politics or the death of democracy.
Worry about the death of kindness.
Worry about the death of compassion.
Worry about the death of decency.
Worry about the death of yourself.
Or
Don't worry at all.
Look up to the sky
Be amazed and cry.
Isn't that all we've ever wanted
To be amazed.
Worry about the death of kindness.
Worry about the death of compassion.
Worry about the death of decency.
Worry about the death of yourself.
Or
Don't worry at all.
Look up to the sky
Be amazed and cry.
Isn't that all we've ever wanted
To be amazed.

No one laughs
watching a homeless lady
agonize to cross the street
at a snail’s pace
except for a lone dude
in the park
He shifts his weight from the bench,
stands on both legs
and decides to use humor
to cover whatever triggered
the uncomfortable knot
curling its fist in his chest.
He makes a joke
about homelessness
and laughs.
Riddles the poor
lazy leeches sucking taxes
from the working class
and laughs.
My compassion uncoils itself
as an aching frond— ...

Book Bans
If there is a god, its name is process.
Even ideation will need supplies
And all of this troubles those who obsess
Far too much about providential eyes.
The meaning is clear. Students need breakfast
And they need lunch and dinner and dessert
If we expect the scholarship to last
Or skill sets to remain fresh and alert...
And that is why the Sergeants of supply
Are more important than the oligarchs
Promoting policy which will deny
School libraries shelving Karl Marx,
Who understood the ways of modern man

Our Conscience
The world has gotten ass backwards
In these last couple of years
Whether it’s through politics or greed
Morals have fallen on deaf ears
I’m talking about the ethics of humanity
Which have become so obscure
When the constant suffering of so many
Become profits for the rich assured
And as absurd as that may be sounding
Think how many are hungry tonight
While some shit in their gold commodes
Something just doesn’t seem right
There is a heartless avarice that grows within
When those who have more want more
It...

these city streets (and 20 years)
1. 2004 Winter
Nineteen
a lady gave me her neon yellow sweater
on my way out of detox
she heard I was about to be homeless
and didn't want me to be frozen
to the spit stained pavement
before I had a chance
to live through the night
The detox centre
didn't care where I ended up
my week was over
and the rest was up to me
I'd been turned down
by 3 rehab centres that day
and didn't know where
I was going to sleep
I cried into fuzzy yellow
and made frenzied phone calls
a handful...

Street People
Cold in the crisper dark origins of my mind
haunting the silence of my insanity's curse
hanging on to the pinion of my philosophy
chilling with prostitutes wearing stilettos
with a lusting appetite for insatiable wraith
inbred by lusting undead on Route 66
hanging out with the street people
wearing a faceless shadow in LA...

the night's
cold is
apparently
unaware
of what
it is
doing
to me,
it is
creeping
onto
my skin,
finding
its way
to
my bones,
and by
morning,
i may be
as cold
as the
night was,
unless the
sun can
save me.

so sorry, old man ..
most of the railway arches
around london bridge have been
blocked off or converted into
something else is going on
but I need somewhere to sleep ..

Allow Compassion To Reign Upon Humanity
Devoid of festering and lamented bitter sorrows
Doves soaring in search higher grounds burying turmoil of past tomorrows
The covenant of rainbow between God and man
None holier unto humanity from where we stand
He who seeks shall find peace, within their reach
For the masqueraded, acrimony, rancor, discontent shall never lash the meek
Time is not assured by the human’s mind
Life is the blink of an eye in God’s time
Turn away and allow Sodom and Gomorrah to burn ...
