he’s thinking
tried to hurry home, but the train was late and, being lame, he could hardly walk, and he couldn’t find a cab, and as for all her talk about leaving if he stayed out late again drinking ..
he tried to phone, but the reception wasn’t great
when he got home

Relaxing In The Jacuzzi
Stephenie was just relaxing in
the jacuzzi before she heard
someone coming towards her,
turned around and saw Jeff
moving closer and
made herself smile
at the guy
on that
day.

the porch
the porch,
my learning
tool,
it's feet,
it's arms,
wide eyes
and constant
stare,
colored like
those of
mostly summer,
edges of
other seasons
lay in
the edges,
each day
in between
porch posts,
it's
wide mouth
vibrates
and once
tapping
each board,
brushed
with ideas
of casual
replies.

Big city
I live in a big city
But on a quiet little street
Where not much happens
Day to day
I feel kind of insulated from the nasty stuff
That goes on day after day
Just around the corner
Oh sure we've had our share
Of trouble and crime
Even here in my quiet little house
But just a break in or two
Not much when you consider
The murder and mayhem
That a big city engenders
I feel lucky and bored at the same time
I can understand the luckiness I feel
But the boredom worries me a little
I don't want any of that big...

Encounter With A Disco Vampire
Karen went with some friends to check out
a disco club and caught the eye
of a blonde handsome stud who
she danced with before they
went back to her place.
Next day, her friends
found Karen
drained of
blood.
