Spanish memory
When I was 13
we went to Salou,
my father, stepmother,
and siblings and I.
Like most holidays back then
it was grim. We weren’t much cop
as family, you’d say;
close to ripping each other’s guts out
and sautéing them,
you’d say if you were being blunt.
We went out once, my father
and eldest brother
and I, passed a school where kids
on seeing us
would say the same word
again and again.
What does it mean, I asked dad.
Rats, he replied.
Later my brother refused to go out

The water across.
She has been barred
By the books of cane
And hunch with a little
In mid day front of srwap
And the oak in my window
Calls for a handful thinner
Than drench of green green.

On The Day After The New Year's Eve Party
Arleen
was discovered
sitting at some cafe
in January drinking a cup
of coffee and nursing a hangover.

RIMINI
At Rimini
in Italy
we'd holiday
beside the bay.
Your bikini
I loved to see
your body wear
when in the square.
We loved the sun,
it gave us fun
upon the sands,
hands holding hands.
You used to scream
when the ice cream
man came to sell,
ringing his bell.
Such memories
fill heart with bliss.
What times we'd share;
now, you're not there.
Like king lost throne
I walk alone,
while younger pairs
hold hands in squares.
Their happiness,
so...

Fireworks On The 4th
Today is Independence Day and my neighbors will use fireworks.
I hope that they will be careful because people could get hurt.
Last night they used powerful fireworks that sounded like dynamite.
I could hear some children crying because of fright.
Many people are celebrating our independence today.
On July 4, 1776, independence was declared in the USA.

TEENY BIKINI
Her teeny bikini
left much to be seen-ie,
male imagination
had not much to dwell on!

A clock.
A clock
With a horses
With a little white
Horse.
The clock is hoarse.
And crates much nuisance.
It has its wooden
bell contact.

ballad of ocho rios
Though the road’s been rocky, it sure feels good to me.”—Bob Marley
i.
the elegant bus,
complete with its driver,
will take all of us
to where the big river
comes down to the sea
through the twists and turns of walkerswood.
ii.
we pass grazing cows
and pigs running after
an old mother sow,
whose grunts are like laughter;

Where Flora, Fauna And Beneficent Humans Gather - Part 1
Since childhood
one event has brightened
every New Years Day
a glorious morning parade
from traditionally sunny
Pasadena, California relayed
watched in robe, slippers, and p-jays
the Tournament of Roses
heralding a championship college Football game
rarely watched by my kin
unless dad’s school was playing therein
Unlike the more commercial NYC
cartoon ballooned cavalcade
marched on Thanksgiving day
that’s become one big advertisement
for the latest plays on Broadway
the variegated, festive floats
that...
