ONE OF THE THIRD
I'm one of 'the third'
who go to bed nuuhd,
not donning PJ's
at the end of days
but hit the sack peeled,
as survey revealed.
Go into the night
with bits out of sight
under the covers
(lone or with lovers),
tasting the freedom
from clothes. (Who needs 'em?)

Snack Fantasies
On the palm of my hand
grew orange peel trees; lemons flourished on their peppermint branches
A lush chocolate cupcake
beneath a swirl of blueberry icing was temporary lodging for the senses
Insuppressible fingers ‘cupped’
all the cravings trying to cradle as many guilty pleasures as possible
Caramel waterfalls flowed
around cookie tower mountains and watermelon canyons where I boarded a pretzel raft and glazed over all the confections
Finally, air-pop-corning a return ride to my cupcake lounge, and...

Oud For Food
Hungry cricket asked friend ant for food
'' i used to sing, i would work, if i could "
'scat, yelled the angry ant !!!
'food, ? oh my dear , i can't '
You're lazy creature, you're just good for Oud !

She asked me to write a pun
That she could handle with fan
i went to the kitchen
For a fast reflection
I came back with a frying pan

Campfire
It starts at dusk with quiet simple strum.
‘It’s campfire time!’ the gleeful kids exclaim.
Lost souls align with rhythm of the drum.
Melodious solo bids the campers come -
marshmallow sticks are shared as well as names;

They might come happy, or they might feel glum:
with eyes obscured by flickering of flames,
lost souls align with rhythm of the drum.
The more reserved in sotto voce hum,
while others unleash harmonies untamed.

Miss you mom happy mother’s day
Miss you mom happy mother’s day
I miss the times when you were here,
Telling me to have no fear.
To hold my head up high and strong,
Add happy notes to a sad song.
I miss the way you look at me
As if I were too blind to see.
The path I'm on might hurt and scathe,
But all goes well if you just have faith.
I miss the sound of your voice,
Through bitter times a saving noise
That told me what was right and wrong
But rang in my ears for far too long.
A caring person, you were such
Who helped and love me,...
