WHY WRITE ABOUT LOVE

remember the professor asking,
years ago, in a creative writing
class: "Why write about love?"
I jotted a quick list
of reasons for a later reminder
for a position paper.

write about love because
there is too much hate in the world.
I write about love because it's
what I need to give and receive.

write about love because the
health of my being needs to
be made stronger emotionally.

We all want and need to be loved unconditionally, at least once in our life time. FOR we all want to have a real connection, that will bond us together as one. day my heart sings because of

But today there is a unique

in an acrostic moment.

TONIGHT
at the Kissing Place
our hearts will spin in

Leaves on trees
the trees on the great avenue
are contented this morning
no wind has blown yet

It's a wonderful life
As a comet burns bright
And streaks across the night sky
So goes life
Against the fabric of time
Blink and you might miss
This strange celestial star
As it burns itself out
Fragmented from friction
But those lucky enough
To see it's blazing glory
Will speak of the miracle
They were blessed to see
And I will also
Count myself fortunate
To witness this mysterious magic
In a cursed and weary world
And streaks across the night sky

Grateful Steps
Love once knocked upon my door,
Soft and sweet, I craved no more.
Dreams were spun in golden thread,
Promises whispered, hopes widespread.
One taught love—a gentle flame,
A warmth that never stayed the same.
One taught loss—a sudden chill,
A silence echoing, deep and still.
One taught patience, one taught pain,
Each a lesson, not in vain.
Through the sorrow, through the ache,
I found strength I feared would break.

LISTEN TO THE SILENCE
AS
the wind gently telegraphs
the message from my
soul and heart to you;
feel the innocence of my
love and desire for you
to be happy and fulfilled.
AS
the raindrops tap dance in
a lover's code on the roof,
feel the silence of my love
that has ridden the wilds
of the storms to get to you..
LISTEN
to the silence it is loudly
proclaiming my love, respect,
and passion for you.
Take a deep breath and
inhale me into your soul.
MY
love I hear your silence, too.

It's a blessing when we can connect on a positive, level of energy and understanding and respect. FOR what we share and have as one love.
