Rhythm of the Earth
I am the gentle breath
moving leaves to speak
as you walk through the
forest
A touch so tender
my hands massage
your shoulders, cascading
down your back, soft
willow branches
Taking your hand to dance
as the trees sway, showering
us in leaves of lust
intertwined in the passion
of the wilderness
I take you there
on the forest floor
undressing as the wind
sings to our flesh
We enjoy the time
each breathing in the other,
hands, fingers, mouths at play
making love to...

Eyes Between Leaves
Rustling whispers haunt the night
Paths where lights reach never could
The branches shiver, void of light
A spectral hymn in the darkened wood
The ranches lock their shutters
To bar the beast from crossing in
Presence chills marked by foul mutters
A herald of despair and sin
The cattle wail in trembling fear
The barn’s old beams creak low and long
The wind, like death, cuts sharp and clear
A dirge sung, its demented song
What treads upon yon fields of clover?
Its claws carve tales in bark and stone
The...

Of Leaves and Other Debris
Along the path of amber hue
Where leaves like whispers fall
The trees stand bare against the blue
So stark, so still, so tall
The air hangs thick with earthy scents
As shadows start to creep
The brittle ground, where branches bent
Lies bound in autumn’s sleep
The rustling leaves, a mournful sound
Lie scattered, torn, and shed
Their colors bright, now fallen down
A carpet for the dead
In quiet steps, I tread alone
Beneath the fading light
Where every tree and branch and stone
Seems haunted by the...

A Portal to Imaginations End ...
Through the Avo green ferns, the bushes, the ancient trees,
a green building rises, clothed in olive hues,
its glass windows reflecting the whispers of leaves.
The door stands wide, an invitation wrapped in light,
a flamboyant couch waits, adorned in vivid patterns,
like stories etched into fabric, each thread a tale
of minds cradled in comfort, hearts alight with wonder.
Inside, authors spirits adorn old oak shelves giving the air a scent of the timelessness of their presences,
the shelves with books of all sizes, stretch to the ceiling like tall...

Deadwood Manifestations
The deadwood stirs beneath the moon
Its branches black and bare
They twist and groan a hollow tune
Like phantoms in the air
Their whispers drift on midnight’s breath
A cold and ghastly song
And tales of sorrow, loss, and death
Are woven faint and long
I walk alone, yet feel their eyes
The trees, so stark and still
Each shadow hides what underlies
A secret dark and chill
No stars break through the twisted boughs
No breeze can ease the night
For in this wood, the silence bows
To voices lost from...

the obstacle
The obstacle
After the none violent revolution in Portugal
1972, as often happens in my life when something
unusual happens, I was there, not knowing I was
witnessing history
My ship came to unload cargo, but we ended
up staying for weeks, a revolution is too important
to be wasted by mere cargo
In the village where I later settled.
the new era brought a road, not a big road
but wide enough for a school bus
there was an aber, where the road ended
two olive trees blocked the road for further
expansion
The trees...

God blessed him
