Tangential travels; love's desolation
If I met you
on this journey
All aboard this train of thought
intertwining time
betwixt barren remoteness
explorers scouting out need
whistling discovery of secreted landscapes
Across desolate plains
windswept valleys;
where jackals wander
and vultures glide their
searching glides
We'd travel through
sleeping towns
where at the dead end of the day
dust swirls
curling apricot twirls
Sparks sending scatter
from greased...

Surrender- with the talented Crimsin
Destroyed, She clutched her mangled heart,
unaware the darkness was listening.
Oh humble day, cast not your eyes upon this darkling
true.
Who now saunters admist the shadows.
In the tempest of it all, her pain is lovely.
A starless night vibrates with sinister stirrings,
abysmal echoing, talk of a great love stolen.
Beholden to her deepest heart's desires.
Fate proved cruel and took away her love forever.
Drenched in tears, she lay crippled,
in a maze of eternal why's.
Lost to the world she keens, she thought...

Islam claims to be
A religion of love and peace
Mohamed being the last prophet
Thus insulting Christians and
Christianity in passing.
Lowering Jesus Christ
To the position of mere prophet
How insulting
Claiming Allah to be the only true God
How insulting to the other civilizations
That predate Islam by thousands of years
Insulting the beliefs of other humans
Seeking and finding answers in their own creeds.
Islam is pretentious and an insult
To people of all other faiths
An insult to the rest of humanity.

Borrower's Rock
Our love arrived, on a turtle's back
as we tossed the ball
with our beach-gang friends
It followed us
as we walked to Mabel's store
for a soda and smokes
As our friends kicked sand
and cursed our discovery
I remember you talking
about all sorts of nothings
While I all of the sudden
saw you differently
In those words of yours, was something
And you, the quick light
in such grey moments
asked "What?"
I feigned deaf, and dumb
And said "Oh,...

In a State of Grace
Spin the wheel” the professor brightly said
So I did and went back to nineteen ninety-one
To days of youth and paths I once feared to tread
To a time when passion seemed to weigh a ton
I smiled reliving the moments I once treasured
For the times I sighed and cried with a heavy heart
For the formative years when I felt the pressure
Through a depression I hid while playing the part
But I kept it hidden below the undergrowth
Like secrets in the deepest recesses of the soul
It grew roots to the core and swore an oath ...

The night in the oasis of time our lips then body divinely touched
Mm… kisses up my spine our naked emotions revealed so much
You kissed my soft lips, slightly trembling beneath yours
His voice I surrendered my love, desires upon my skin shall pour
I inched back, preparing to flee
The silhouette of his soul upon earth’s pillow where his heart used to be
Gently he pulled me closer, my erratic heartbeats sinking in trepidation

karma
my pain is deep and cutting
but I like the way it feels
with a slice into memory
telling myself lady, you shouldn't have done that
I review my life taking inventory
I ache with regrets
they pain me greatly
I've affected peoples lives
changed their trajectory
that's a powerful thing,
affecting a soul's fate
I keen knowing sometimes it was negative
I bring out the worst in a person
they react then Karma gets them later because of me
punished for acts of violence
I wince when I see it
payback for treating...

One Slip!
Just one slip folks and it's all over!
I was thinking about this the other day,
On my way to the pub -
The fine margins between error and triumph.
Saying the wrong word, just one Damn word,
And your whole world turns upside down.
A fallen tree, where moments earlier you were sitting,
A cracked roof tile thundering down into your garden.
You could've been mowing that splendid lawn after all!
Red or Black, that your whole life depends on -
Russian Roulette.
You stepped off the tube a stop early -
Good for you or was it? ...
