Sorrow's Well
In the spring of . . . my own winter,
sadness filled my empty cup,
overflowed upon the floor,
I watched in disbelief as rivers
of my tears ran out the door.
Is this river, yet unnamed, a river, raging,
never tamed,
reserved for mothers tears that fell.
Do all our tears reach Sorrow’s Well.
The twilight of my pretty days
has slipped away,
receding light of, hopeful, dreaming,
laughter’s love,
they chased away the,
warming coo of Mary’s dove.
I reach for you across the room,
you’re tired, hiding, ...
sadness filled my empty cup,
overflowed upon the floor,
I watched in disbelief as rivers
of my tears ran out the door.
Is this river, yet unnamed, a river, raging,
never tamed,
reserved for mothers tears that fell.
Do all our tears reach Sorrow’s Well.
The twilight of my pretty days
has slipped away,
receding light of, hopeful, dreaming,
laughter’s love,
they chased away the,
warming coo of Mary’s dove.
I reach for you across the room,
you’re tired, hiding, ...
