I'd just moved to a small village in dreamland, and decided to go for a walk. i glanced into a field, and was surprised to see sheep, and cows, huddled closely together, upon closer inspection, i also saw chickens, rabbits, hares, foxes, and cats. all were stood stock still, like statues, and a chill ran down my spine. all looked terrified, but made no noise whatsoever. i ran quickly back to my new house, and started packing up a rucksack, and i knew that something awful was about to happen, as animals never behave like that, unless there was something really bad was about to happen. as i was...

I don’t understand this world. It seems so strange to me. Everything is never as it should be. Wars, famine, economic collapse, diseases and corruption. Why? Why is it so difficult to just live and let live? Why is it so difficult to accept death when your time has come? You can’t live forever, and I don’t understand the people who’d like to. Why? You’ll only see everything wither away and die around you. Just do what you have to do in this life and die like a decent human being when your old, senile and useless. Isn't it exciting when the herd moves as one
7 billion forgotten self's laying down to die
In the name of a world they never experienced
For people who say they must
But knowingly won't do the same.
It is best not to believe in anything
Except now, right now
Don't think too much beyond now
And pay maximum attention to now
Right now
Panic buying starts
And the exit lights are on the screen
Everyone rushes at once
Not one of them panic thinks
Not one of them knows an exit
There's lots of open doors in dangerous places ...

The End of the World (translation of 'Der Weltuntergang' by Franz Hohler)

The end of the world,
ladies and gentlemen,
given what we know today,
will go something like this:
In the beginning, on a fairly small island in the South Pacific,
a beetle will vanish,
an unpleasant one, and
everyone will say,
That beetle’s gone, at last, thank God
the horrible itch it used to cause,
and it was always full of grot.
A little later, the inhabitants of this island will notice
that early in the morning
when the birds are singing
one voice is...

To The Wild Ends Of Borealis
