Poets, The Innocent Liars
sometimes we have to fake to live
for a nice feedback to receive
thus, our hearts are quite and calm
and yet, we express too much pain
we are liars, the deceiftul writers
wicked crafters, and manipulators
we seek sympathy and others attention
even against our own self-abnegation
but, sincerely we are very bad actors
making color movies from old cliches
outdated scripts and Hitchcock scenarios
to look pitiful in masked low-budget thrillers
the innocent words to outwardly deliver
alas ! die so fast...
for a nice feedback to receive

If I can't have her no one can
I close my eyes and all I see is this man with a knife and a mission to complete,
if I can't have you no one will
he won't do it himself so he sends a messenger to complete his act
because if he can't have her no one will
a knife in the dark not too sharp but enough to cut

Through the Looking Glass: A Cry for Change
Once, I dreamt of grander plans,
A vision of a land enhanced.
Words as my wand, the world to enchant,
"Alice," I'd ask, "what realms do you grant?"
But open the news, a stark looking glass,
Echoes of my existence, they seek to surpass.
A world grinding down, crushing so deep,
Where starving souls and penthouses keep.
Great plans I held in hand, now astray,
Born to a century, twisted and frayed.
Metaphors my refuge, my solace in the fight,

Delicate phrases in delicate array,
Tumbling and fumbling in a delicate ballet,
No utterance supreme, no lexicon to outweigh.
A symphony of sounds, a linguistic sea,
Each note distinct, a unique identity,

Equivalency
Everything bears a cost,
Not merely a price to be tossed.
For every gain we seek to host,
Something else must be lost.
To earn the coin, we toil,
Sweat upon the soil.
For respect to be our lot,
We must act in ways that are not forgot.
To hold goods within our grasp,
We part with coins that clasp.
When gains are made, yet nothing's spent,
The scale tips – it's not what nature meant.
For each thing gained without a toll,
Disrupts the balance of the whole.
We must reckon with the cost,
For nothing comes...

the speaker stood there, speechless,
the pleader’s voice beseechless,
the vital river ran aground, bone dry.
the view, once so breathtaking,
enero was forsaking,
my tired eyes knew no more how to cry.
the night sky, stark and starless,
making my daydreams far less
inclined to populate my fitful sleep.
my final hopes were waning,
vitality fast...

Car Ride
I picked you up today
after getting off work on this beautiful day
I drove you to our spot
your tongue hanging out like you were hot
I looked over and a tear came to my eye
you looked at me as if to ask why
I wanted to tell you our last ride was soon
maybe September maybe the end of June
I had so much I wanted to say
but all I could manage was "I love you, okay?"
you sat there enjoying the incoming breeze
as my pain began to ease
I know you love me too
I'm your papa and you're my Jenny roo

the most soul crushing of them all
high value, pure and golden
the biggest of them all
but what about everyday love?
what about friends?
when i talk about love
i picture them -
friends, my dear friends -
