I'm A Victim
Does one allow
One's Imotional Perceptions
To attack
Demanding
That you Believe
Your a Victim
That sticks and stones
Can break your bones
But Word's
Will always Hurt You

Strange world
Where people say No
To other people
And Mean it
And yet
The same people
Have a hard time
Saying No
To themselves
And Mean It

In Death...Denial
Can you see me now?
Amazing, since you are dead
I know I survived

not an owl (but a crow)
i once had
a pet crow
that would
sit high up
in a tree
and thought
himself
to be
an owl,
because
after he flew
into a limb,
he developed
amnesia,
someone
jokingly
convinced
him that he
was an owl,
not a crow.

young and fearless
i was once
young
and fearless,
i did
things
to my
satisfaction,
too careless
to be
beat down,
but now
so many
years
have passed,
my youth
long gone,
and i
take
my time,
i'm
a little
more cautious
these days.

Grief Lives After We Die
As I die
mortals watch the day
crying for eternity
embrace your hand in mine
daylight torn
pity the sadness
no forgiveness
forever be
burning me

crying for eternity
embrace your hand in mine
daylight torn
pity the sadness
no forgiveness
forever be
burning me

fire and ghosts
the fire
lit up
ghosts,
they glided
around
the black
sands
of death,
exiled
from home,
dancers
trespass
through
these dreams.

Living a lie
Keep telling yourself,
"This time will be different,
because its honest"
But how can it be,
When you're lying to yourself?
Old, faithful, denial.
Consider this, friend.
You're worth being honest with,
But truth starts at home.

Sat upon ?
Am I a chair. To sit upon or the bones of a majestic stair case . Enticing and cajoling one step is enough It's better than being sat upon.

Why
Give and take
Take and give
Lose a soul
Gain a soul
Is this what it takes to live in this wretched world?

Just The Edges
I thought I heard you say
I love you.
Startled me, like a minor car crash.
Enough to alter time, for a long moment.
Changing the parameters
of this evening.
I'm pretty sure I heard you.
So my sticks and stones alerted,
to build up the guard around me.
I thought we had agreed
that word was off limits.
Maybe we hadn't made a pact
not to say it.
But that night, months ago
when we were trading rules,
it was one of them brought up.
Heads nodded, and we got past it,
to the next agreement of ...
