Pine Trees on Fire
The breeze soaked evergreen clearing drew me back to the way I felt when I was needing little bits of needles made of every bit of seedling in the thistles deeply nestled in the darkness I was reaching from
Wake me up and harbor on to the grudge that I've been hanging on
I'm lost in a sea of fog and the pressures just getting tough
Don't wake me up;
The dream I'm in,
It gets warm in parts.
I'm cold and soft.
I'm bitter and I feel bits of me
breaking off
The beach cove we used to say that we were going to lay upon -
Now...
Wake me up and harbor on to the grudge that I've been hanging on
I'm lost in a sea of fog and the pressures just getting tough
Don't wake me up;
The dream I'm in,
It gets warm in parts.
I'm cold and soft.
I'm bitter and I feel bits of me
breaking off
The beach cove we used to say that we were going to lay upon -
Now...

Rest In Peace, Hazel - Part III
It's been three months since the day when you died.
You were a wonderful dog and that can't be denied.
I remember the day when I bought you.
When you died, it was a terrible thing to go through.
I became a lucky man when your former owner sold you to me.
You were my Chihuahua and I bought you on August 18, 2020.
When you died, it was something that was sure to devastate.
You were my dog and that's something I'll always appreciate.

Rest In Peace, Mom - Part VII
Wednesday was your least favorite day and you died on a Wednesday.
After living for sixty-four years, you became sick and you passed away.
The eleventh anniversary of your death is on your least favorite day of the week.
I thought things were fine at first but then I learned that your situation was bleak.
When you went to the hospital, you had to go under the knife.
The surgeon tried his very best but he could not save your life.
He operated on your stomach and your leg had to be amputated.
But you still died and when I found you dead, I was devastated. ...

Warmth Of Being Loved
I still think of that night
When I felt death’s presence
I expected cold wind
But instead I felt warm
So warm.
I felt as if I was seeing everything
Through a blurry bottle
My whole life
Played before me
They held me softly
Almost taking me away
Until I said out loud
“I don’t want to die just yet”
The warmth left
My vision cleared
I woke up the next morning
Wondering what was real

This brief glow.
The atom lives forever
or so I've heard said,
ten to the thirty-fifth power
it were in a book what I read.
Now, we are built from atoms
bound in our body mass,
on death, released, what happens
Why', they are put out to grass!
Or wrought to air, composed as such,
and from this mortal blow,
free forever, as I clutch,
to my brief glow.

The 20th Anniversary of Russell Hunter's Death
It was two decades ago today when an actor took his final breath.
When he starred in Doctor Who, he starred in "The Robots of Death".
His name was Russell Hunter and he was born in February of 1925.
Next year would've been his 100th birthday if he had survived.
Hunter starred in nineteen episodes of "The Gaffer" and one episode of "Born and Bred".
People in England were sad twenty years ago today because they learned he was dead.
In 1976, he starred in one episode of "Play From A".

A Special Kind of Love
A larvae of love,
contains butterflies of
my monarch thoughts of you.
That softly land
on a bright moss of my memories.
Thoughts of you are like rose on the breeze.
Fragrant with loveliness
were the life lessons she knew.
Beautiful wisdom her warm soul poured
The graceful keeper of the prescious stories
we adored.
Why are the memories more dense
after the ones we treasure depart?
As every milestone you shared with me,
migrates to the permanence of my heart.
contains butterflies of
my monarch thoughts of you.

voices of ancestors
i heard
the sound
of flutes
playing in
the garden,
the fields,
leaves
alive now
with spirits,
no one
is asleep
in the far off
graveyard,
ancestors
wait,
their voices
come from
the
moist soil,
they
let me know
dreams
still exist.

The Ben-Varrey
Right as soon as she jumped in, I'm freezing.
Not breathing. She ain't even listening.
Can't get past this.
No silver lining.
No.
Cascading waves of grace sheds away.
Shes fading fast at incredible paces.
A figment of my imagination.
There and gone as soon as she jumped in.
Cascading waves took her away
and we lost her to the
godforsaken
ocean.
Nearly grown and still believes in magic
how could we have known she'd be shedding her skin?
Well we didn't,
and
we did this.
And...

Grief
Grief
One minute your here, the next your gone,
Heaven gained another Angel, a very special one,
And although you are no longer here,
The memories stay forever here,
I’ll miss your face,
Your steady pace,
Your calming ways,
The happy days,
Your cheery smile,
I could do with that once in a while,
You were always happy,
Never snappy,
Your hugs were the best,
You held so tight and squeezed my chest,
You had so much love to give,
You had so much life left to live,
You brightened up the room with your funny ways, ...
