holding tight to sanity, I feel it slipping away
tender moments of madness, make me fear
my monsters are nicer than people
they make me laugh and I slip sideways into their world
they're never too busy to talk
amusing phantoms they entertain
telling me secrets of the universes
I'm amazed left with more questions
until I delve too deeply and I'm drawn in

reality bends then alters
