Reclaiming My Digital Odyssey
In the realm of cyberspace, I took my stand,
A journey on Facebook's digital land.
With friends and family, a decade's embrace,
In this virtual world, I found my place.
But storm clouds gathered, toxicity grew,
A web of turmoil, emotions askew.
I pondered my path, sought guidance from near,
To face this dilemma, confront the fear.
Alternatives considered, but none felt right,
So back to the familiar, I turned my sight.
Forced to stay in discomfort's domain,
I shifted my viewpoint, sought strength to gain.
I balanced the scales,...

Blades of Grass Tipped Wide
Blades of grass now tipped wide
stood a garden upped and died
bones of yesterday's memories
now winds for the silent butler
and a deserted old parking lot
with echoes from the asphalt
pulling up yams with age spots
for a reality taxidermy TV show

new ears of corn
a trochee
[No. 10 from The Children’s Collection]
“Nature gives man corn but he must grind it; God gives man a will but
he must make the right choices.”―Fulton J. Sheen
when the ears of corn are ripening and their silk-thread teeth come smiling,
let me frolic through the cornfield―in the cornfield let me play.
i shall tip-toe past the scarecrow while the birds he is beguiling,
lest i scare the birds―lest i should too soon scare the birds away.
one for maggot, one for john crow, one for cutworm,...

Love warms the air
The stars shine bright
I have never experienced such joy in my lifetime
Yet my soul remembers
It reflects the cosmic luminosity
Of a culture and family long ago passed
I yearn for that sense of community again
I do not belong to this world
My heart remains in the forgotten memories
A new year has come, another life to experience
Yet my heart and soul will forever yearn for what no longer exists.

Honoring Your Inner Divine Sanctuary
Ladies, please make sure you check your breasts for the last month of 2023
Where has the time went, I truly hope as you cross the throne into a New Year
May you continue to monitor your health with regular yearly physicals, bloodwork, implement a healthy diet, and that also consists of exercise
If you are incapable get a stress ball and utilize it to keep the body healthy, and positive thoughts to keep the mind functioning in its purest form
Whatever your theology is, pray, chant, or as me, meditate to keep passage to you Creator clear

in the end
IN THE END
Did it matter who was the master
and who was the slave?
who won the battle
or who lies in the grave?
Does it make a difference
who gave over to hate?
or who sent love in a kiss?
Do we care if its true or a lie?
Do we know what wins and what loses?
what is to be done and what is not?
Do we see the trees or just the leaves?
Do we hear the song or the music?
Who was to blame and who is innocent
will it change anything?
Who ruled and who was without a voice?
When will the...

be a man
BE A MAN
Be a man
stand up
man up
Be strong
Be hard
Be sexy
Provide
Protect
Worship
Give me what I want
be my King
no time for paupers
Need me
feed me
long for me
Come on
gun up
be the soldier
the priest
the lover
the father
Make my dreams
come true
He heard the words
and pulled the blanket
back over his body
Another man stood
in the usual queue
for the food bank
he remembered the words

graffiti
all i
could see
through
the
dirty window
in the
subway
as i
looked out
were pastel
filled moments
of graffiti,
plastered
like fields,
wildflowers,
each belonging,
changing
as
my ride
continues
uptown.
