RIPPLES IN THE POND
Sitting here in this moment of peace and tranquility, as I glaze off into the horizon as I exchange my thoughts so freely, with the calmness of the breeze whispering through the water. Yet it is here I feel entwine in the mirror reflection, that reflects off the ripples in the water staring up back at me. For even as I stare up into the distant skies, I could see the differences between the characters in the clouds, just floating silently creating situations of shapes and patterns. But yet WHY IS IT WE NEVER TAKE THE TIME AND PATIENCE, TO LEARN THAT TRANQUILITY IS ALL AROUND US. FOR WHY DO WE...

Yukon Surreal
Yukon Surreal
Meringue snow
Where stunted pine
Awakens in Cimmerian quiet
To misty-eyed earth
Whose fogbound dream
Could be a barren Scottish highland
Where bagpipes echo
But our Yukon land
A burial ground
Marked by totem poles
To remember lost seasons
When eagle and hawk tribes
Found the path of peace
Meringue snow
Where stunted pine
Awakens in Cimmerian quiet
To misty-eyed earth
Whose fogbound dream
Could be a barren Scottish highland
Where bagpipes echo
But our Yukon land
A burial ground
Marked by totem poles
To remember lost seasons
When eagle and hawk tribes
Found the path of peace

A face in the clouds
With the creak of a worn out
weather-vane, wind chimes warn us.
As a dream catcher dances on the porch,
fields flatten under footsteps,
barn doors are forced to slam and splinter.
Branches reach through shattered glass
to scatter children like minnows
gathered in by bigger fish,
they wait and hide at the bottom.
The chewed up piles of wooden towns
spat broken by unearthly growls.
With every Jekyl a Mr Hyde,
rage is tempered over time.
As venom leaves the black veined skies,
our monsters face thins out. ...

Morning Light
The light kisses your skin like morning dew,
And weaves intricate patterns across window
Panes. It leaves imprints on your soul as you
Smile, following its soft climax and crescendo
With your delicate fingertips, watching it dance
Across the hazy horizon like a majestic flamingo.
It is like life gives me a gift and a second chance
To enjoy the simplest pleasures. In these seconds
I am enjoying this peacefulness before the trance
Wears off and goes into the wispy clouds. Weapons
All forgotten about as the light calls me and...

Just Watch---Calm and Balm in Oahu
Walking out to the backyard
one hundred feet from the sea wall
my brother's daily wakeup on Oahu
nature provides a calm to life
Me the naive mainlander
see a crab and wonder if it is live
the creatures still living are on the other side
making their way back to the water
Hear the waves crashing against the rocks
a shirtless dude
makes he way across the area
and offers a fish my brother in turns gives a coconut
The coconuts are in fact an experience
I am warned not to occupy space...

Who Then
Who Then
Who
do I
have to fuck
to get kissed
around here?
Who then?
Tortured
to torture,
Cogito ergo cum.
Who

have to fuck
to get kissed
around here?
Who then?
Tortured
to torture,
Cogito ergo cum.
