An Atmospheric River
It's never too soon on days like today
to energize all of the party lights
and watch the lingering leaves blow away
in vortical El Nino flights...
where, in with the fresh air and rain,
spins new activity of thought
unwinding that twist in my brain
which the Halloween candy had brought.
So now I watch the clouds come and go,
like kisses supplying anew,
the reasons for the future to grow
even when skies are no longer blue...
but tinged here and there with an evening...
to energize all of the party lights
and watch the lingering leaves blow away
in vortical El Nino flights...
where, in with the fresh air and rain,
spins new activity of thought
unwinding that twist in my brain
which the Halloween candy had brought.
So now I watch the clouds come and go,
like kisses supplying anew,
the reasons for the future to grow
even when skies are no longer blue...
but tinged here and there with an evening...

Moonlight
There was a rift up in the sky...
like where the Red Sea came apart,
where all the clouds would split and fly
as if Cupid shot a splintered dart.
Into this cleft the moon would peek
with nimbi glowing as they passed
in a breezy game of hide and seek
the weather lass had not fore-cast...
since she rarely speaks of how the moon
summons beauty from an ocean steam
as much as rain from some monsoon,
or naked lovers by a dream...
who certainly would love above
the night light they were thinking of.

The Smoke
A Sulphur yellow light
The blue death of day
Grey clouds drift like smoke
Our dreams melt away
The blue death of day
Grey clouds drift like smoke
Our dreams melt away

she says, are you ok ?
most evenings we’re on the
sofa watching old black and white films, thinking oh, if only such was
life tends to be colourful,
garish and brash, but in my head, I
still see it as grey ..

a bit dark
overcast with frequent showers the weatherman said you’re damn right
I thought such has been most of my life
I thought such has been most of my life

Paradise
I drove through a piece of heaven tonight.
It was exactly how I imagined it.
Airy,
liberating...
As I approached the other side,
waiting to greet me was the crescent moon.
Its light, so bright, felt like a hug
as it held me entranced.
I have never felt more at peace
It was exactly how I imagined it.
Airy,

Congruity
Some scattered clouds on a summer night,
Long after a newer moon has set,
Dissipate like the dreams that we forget
In spite of all their subconscious might.
So gentle is their whispering drift
That the march of time scarcely chronicles
Fresh temporality canonicals
Of any past, present, or future rift
Customarily marked by clockwork chimes
But measured tonight by an atmosphere
In motion as sure as Irish rhymes...
Yet in no hurry from afar to near
To alter anyone's paradigms,
From midnight idyll; love's preferred frontier!

Aerations
I love when the clouds saunter by
Between midnight and the break of day
And when the moon has sunk away
Beyond our occidental sky.
No rain tonight...the air is dry
As it shuffles over every head;
As if afraid to wake the dead
Or goad a nightmare up to fly,
in spoilation of the dreams
We sleeping mortals have come to love
Regarding all the glory above
The gravitas of Earth regimes;
A finite place where the flesh is trapped...
In a mist the muse considers apt.
Between midnight and the break of day
And when the moon has sunk away
Beyond our occidental sky.
No rain tonight...the air is dry
As it shuffles over every head;
As if afraid to wake the dead
Or goad a nightmare up to fly,

Coin of the Realm
Slave clouds serve your carriage tonight,
Oh pale goddess of zenith gold,
And cortege like fair Aurora's light
Beyond the crystal cirrus cold...
And denser banks from time to time,
Oh goddess of the lofty frost,
Whisper the drifting skies you climb
Before your amber's priceless cost.
Such coinage spent by all your beams,
Oh goddess of the midnight hour,
Purchase the magistracy of dreams
And all your beauty they empower...
And when the skies anon will clear, ...
Oh pale goddess of zenith gold,
And cortege like fair Aurora's light
Beyond the crystal cirrus cold...
And denser banks from time to time,

Giraffes' Tears
Giraffes' tears
are diamonds dripping
of the sky floating in the air
from their clouded eyes.
wash the irises
like rivers of lust and
hide in the eyelashes
long and curved.
When giraffes cry
the eyes look like
peacocks with their fans
decorated with gems.
Giraffes' tears
are whispers that
fall on our heads
like divine blessings...
Giraffes are goddesses
that without warning
came off the walls
of paleolithic caves...
When giraffes cry
it's pure pity for ...

Bordello Moonrise!
By cloud cover her beams were mostly blocked
So thusly by the firelight I wrote
Of the waning gibbous moon I stalked
For yet another midnight anecdote
Where I studied the backlit cloud form flow
All around her crater corseted globe
And fully prepossessing lunar glow
With nimbostratus as her boudoir robe,
So teasing to my tellurian sight...
And all too soon she'd be covered again
As if the clouds conspired with her light
To yet more tantalize the dreams of men
Who ever equate her goddess lumens
With the finest...
