Poems about Boredom
#boredom
Poems about boredom, apathy and disinterest in the world. Poems about the daily grind of life, and how boredom can wear you down. Poetry about frustration and wanting to break free to find a more exciting way of life.

Everyone wants me to pick up where I left off
but,
I don't think I have anything to say anymore
I'm unamused,
fuming at the mediocre musings I conjure
I'm sorry what do you want from me?
another Altars? another Winter's Breath?
Wherever I begin just feels like nothing but the same
I ramble and tame my tongue, I fearlessly write my thoughts
just to cower at perceived consequence,
It's not the danger that worries me,
I just don't have the energy to explain anything.
And that thought of having to endure a passing person's narrative ...

No one reads this anyways
People are like suns
glowing up and burning out
I want to swallow it all
and feel how deep my emptiness goes
I had a dream one night
woke up and found it while awake
in my enemies fever dreams
I cut people out like coupons
and edit them in my head to fit
into conversations we never had
but wish we did
I want to bend myself backwards sometimes
because I'm sick of hindsight being so late.
I want to see the knife coming
before the stinging truth
glowing up and burning out
I want to swallow it all
and feel how deep my emptiness goes
I had a dream one night
woke up and found it while awake
in my enemies fever dreams
I cut people out like coupons
and edit them in my head to fit
into conversations we never had
but wish we did
I want to bend myself backwards sometimes
because I'm sick of hindsight being so late.
I want to see the knife coming
before the stinging truth

Death Signed
The day started like any other
Just awaiting death to accept an invitation
We’ve all given with forged signatures
Floating a little more south than usual
My state of mind is like a rickety bridge
I like to burn it at both sides
standing center in the eclipse
Impending cataclysmic abysses
don’t frighten me as fast
As feeling empty in a room so full
I feel I won’t be missed, maybe that’s the point
I don’t want a single memory to hold hostage your happy thoughts
When it took the present to taint the past
I burrow deep with...

small is good
Small is good
There are not many big elephants left on the savannah
Near the houses where I live elephants are a bit smaller
nature did this for them to survive big game hunters
like kings, who think killing big animals is masculine
like having a secret mistress, but not too concealed
because if no one knows, why bother?
The small elephants that have yet to get a Latin name
like Loxdonta africana, have a tiny tusk not bigger than
than a bull's horn and feet too tiny to be made into an umbrella holder, but are sweeter looking, smell sweet, and...

Words With Energy Out.
A Word Without Energy
poetry is madness
a senseless vocation
an unanswerable exclamation
to unsolvable question
poetry is blame
a literary shame
to notorious fame
doing a wordy game
poetry is poverty
a fake certainty
a paper celebrity
as wealth is illitracy
i spent my lifetime
chewing on rhyme
my body parts are lame
i lost my mind
that man is poor
a shepherd outdoors
a tramp indoors
mercy I implore
take the word from me
if...

that time of year again
My skin drips with humid misery
parched earth beneath my feet
with the sunburnt remnants of grass
that can't survive under a summer sun
Summer feels like I'm dying
a documentable deja vu
to years long past
where my brain chemistry
was just as fried as the earth
I want to wake up early
before the world starts
so I can feel the predawn chill
of life before it's evaporated
into a merciless atmosphere
Instead I sleep in
under a cloud of depression
and disappointment
that I couldn't...

Aptly Daily Mail! Could you be any further, crassly up William Windsor's ass?
By Stanley Collymore
William is boring, bald and
serially bad tempered;
clearly egregiously
arrogant and obsessively entitled.
None of which in terms of clearly
evidently personal, and pleasant
characteristics, I distinctly really
find even vaguely attractive and
which in any forthright and truly
unrestrained conclusion simply
unquestionably and essentially
make him a really unendearing
and characteristically vile man.

the drug
A notable writer in the literary Norwegian firmament was Jens Bjornebo who was the leading radical star
outspoken and a perfect spokesman for modern times in
the sixties and seventies.
Jens, let's call him Jens came from an upper-class shipping family and received a top education at the time
when only a few could afford to go to university.
Since his father was in ship owner class, bantam Jens joined the merchant navy, but only for a short time he was not of the material needed as a sailor.

things to come
Future problems
To put a water pipe into a trench took many men
now a digging machine makes a trench in a few hours
we accept this saves money, aching backs, and time
These days office work can be done by a computer
newspapers lament the passing of the middle-class
who protest suddenly the ghost of the dole is real.
The medical professionals are nervous too, AI can learn
the skills needed in Latin, do not need a coffee break
and perform operations with steady hands
what I find hilarious is the demise of lawyers grasping
hands AI...

falling leaf
i waited
there,
for you
by
your garden,
shadows
shifting time
overhead,
i leaned
back
against your
surrounding
fence,
i cannot
see you,
then,
your voice,
i turned
to
understand
what
you said,
but it was
only
the crying
of
a falling leaf.

Ordinary.
Fat cat said"Huh,I can do that.
You're nothing special."
Have to agree with that.
If nothing special, then wouldn't be copying me! He told him.
Sugar free ugly twat.
Will never think outside the box.
Too ordinary.
Who said that!

Fully departed.
Im going round again.
I wish I had the courage
to drink till all life has departed.
Instead,
Head bound with mediocre dread.
Salient words,
Bore me too.
I'm going round again.
Am I dead now.
