THE LONELY ONE
The lonely person often walks unnoticed
with unsteady step and eyes unfocused,
failing to keep pace within the crowd.
An approach of reluctance to everything,
like a crutch under the arm that stings,
maintaining balance amidst turbulence.
Seeing, yet, did not recognize nor care,
as if that person was as normal as you,
beneath the shrouded cloak they wear.
Loneliness can feed on pure isolation,
depression its friend, little is noticed,
there's signals, a lack of communication.
Loneliness has its very own...

Dear Emily,

Just like a toddler
Throwing a temper tantrum

If the time has come
For me to walk away
To leave you my love
Will you not save
The tears that flow
I have on display
When I turn to leave
On this darkest day
When the sun won't rise
And the winter comes
As a river still flows
From the saddest eyes
If the time has come

Could you pause awhile
In the setting sun
And I leave you a kiss
For now there is none
As I leave you with this
Knowing you warmed the heart
Of a very troubled fool
Who's lost...

Forever is a word for fools,
a word that describes a time
that will never come.
Always is a word for dreamers,
a word that describes wishes
and forgets reality.
Never is a word that forgets
what we don't know about tomorrow.
As for me, I'm a fool forever,
who dreams of always
having you to love,

It's Time
We have none to lose
Yet, it slips away
When most kinetic
In jubilant high spirits
It slips between grasp
Like pouring sand
Prying my own hands open
To lose my miser's cloak
At peak's potential
Yet it trudges onward
With seconds saturated
Scraps go to the dogs
Stay vigilant in panning
This eternal river for gold
Some days, perfume
Wisps that float by
Brushing into us
With memories
Like close embraces
Mixed with soft lips
Other days,...
Yet, it slips away

FADED INTO DUSK
Across the seas, so very far away,
dreams of love combine with tears
my heart must face another day
to calm the dread of hidden fears.
For love has sailed across the blue,
still the rage within distant lands,
while I remain to dream of you
til once more we're holding hands.
The sun is again fading into dusk
and you are here within my heart
upon the air of the river’s musk
for love like ours can never part.
dreams of love combine with tears
my heart must face another day
to calm the dread of hidden fears.

As long as my heart is still beating
it would only speak of your name
and keep on wishing and dreaming
'til a time that you'll feel the same
If my heart was actually burning
you'd be the only one to put it out
run to my distress call and rescue
I would not even have to shout
If my heart was sad and its crying

ODE to LOVE
So beautiful you are, a smile with such poise and grace
eyes will tell stories of love often we refused to face
(a man or woman's love can't be replaced)
To love another by chance due to
a circumstance
and watch it bloom and grow due to happenstance
(why don't we just trust and to give unconditionally)
To love by choice a smile shows how precious it can be
A simple embrace or kiss can lead often into serenity
(keep in mind this can also be just be one's fantasy)
To love and lose that was or wasn't meant for you or me ...

STILL FALLING IN and OUT of LOVE
I still find myself staring down at my phone,
As I stll wait for your text
or call,
I am quite sure I'd still
answer immediately,
And very soon I again I would
begin to fall.
I tell you how I still miss
and love you,
You probably most likely think
its a lie,
But now that everyday I am still here
without you,
I wonder somedays how I am actually
still alive.
The distance and silence is slowly
killing me,
The pain gets more difficult
for me to take.
So I still try and hand...
As I stll wait for your text
or call,
I am quite sure I'd still
