A Star Is Born
in the space that's inbetween
electrons spinning atom's dream
unseen electricity
is powering everything we see
everything we hear and feel
is in this space that seems unreal
an emptiness in endless dark
illuminated by a spark
invisibly, yet still we know
this is the force that makes things go
unseen electricity
powers the stars, and you and me -
in the space that's inbetween
galaxies spinning as they stream
currents flowing that twist and squeeze
each plasma pinching which then leaves

A Sonnet for The Solstice
Here we are at winter's solstice
where it's tough to stay warm and dry.
Yet some things from summer I will not miss
such as the lazy bumble fly.
Or excessive auto exhaust.
Or thorns on blackberry vines.
And roadkill, by Goodyear tire embossed,
whereon that bumble fly dines.
Such scenes on hot August asphalt
make summer such a wretched thing,
like that whole humidity gestalt
with all of its hidrosis cling!
The best time on the calendar, or clocks,
is either one, or the other...equinox!

Telescopic Musings
I gazed into the Jovian disk
as one of Galileo's moons
drifted into its glowing form,
melting like butter into a bisque.
Jove broadcasts crackling tunes
formed by some lurking plasma storm;
the vastness of space blocks the sound,
but many planets make noise.
If you're not able to hear
the heavens as they spin around,
in their rotational poise,
then just view them when it is clear;
they pass quickly through the eyepiece
so be sure to pay attention
when compressing your view of space.
Keep your lenses...

Into
into the past into the future
into the inbetween
heaven on Mars, exploring Titan
within the Sun's endless stream
of ions that flow, electric currents
out to the heliopause
into beyond's ISM's plasma
which unheard silently roars
into the currents created by motion
of spiraling stars on the go
forever moving around the centre
of somewhere we can not know
into the past, Into the future
into what's inbetween
into the now when we're together
into sharing this dream...

Stars
Still some stars at dawn
They stay cuz they are strong
Not because they hang on
There are no expectations
That desires are to be fulfilled
Only that all that is,
Is what is desired
Where these cloudy thoughts are simply passing through
From above stars enjoy the view
And are being enjoyed too.
Thank you stars for the proof
That there's so much space out here in space
As you do, may I rise, release & radiate
They stay cuz they are strong
Not because they hang on
There are no expectations
That desires are to be fulfilled
Only that all that is,
Is what is desired
Where these cloudy thoughts are simply passing through

Gazing at the Stars
Heaven's Bean Pot
filled with many stars
as I look through my telescope
from a world quite afar.
I can see the planet Mars
and the spiraling Milky Way
the Big Dipper and the Little one
seem a million miles away.
All swimming in a sea
of sparkling midnight blue
and what should come to mind
but the evening I spent with you.
It takes me back to that night
not so very long ago
when I held you in my arms
and gazed at the stars aglow.

Convolutions
So silently the dewfall moon
arose when all the fog dispersed
it formed a lycanthropic thirst
to which all life may well attune,
and all the psyches long abed
lay subject to the muted beams
titillating woebegone dreams
like a greenhouse in the infrared
or signal wave propagation
from an ionospheric bounce
only radios can pronounce
as receivership oblation,
blent into a celebration...
of glory in complete gyration!

Aurora Borealis
swirling my fingers
in the Arora borealis
of our hallowed moments
unsurprised
to feel familiar fire spread anew
fevered blush staining my haunted countenance
I watch
as bursts of pulsar
shooting stars
and the heat of us suffuse
infusing my musing
with decadence
do you remember
how we shared oxygen
brewed intoxicating potions
such heady concoctions
we imbibed like the dying
desperate for peace
release
and healing
defiantly daring the unknown
making it our home ...

World Of Dreams
Dreams,an unusual place.
Full of wonder,full of grace.
Full of characters of all kinds.
As we travel inside our minds.
And you never know what you will find.
You sail away in your bed, asleep.
And you explore the dream world, very deep.
As you fly, swim or simply dream away.
And your true self,in a dream will never decay.
It's like looking in a mirror, that points out your insecurities.
You lay down in your bed as all your worries go away.
And you take a plane to another dimension.
Full of memories and people,old...

Perseid
Auriga, Jupiter, and a crescent moon
Owned a very early eastern sky
As lowly hung the Dipper's northern spoon
With a brace of meteors blasting by!
And Cassiopeia, above it all,
Was regal on her meridian throne
Watching stars shoot in their final fall
Of plasma transmutation from stone!
The Pleiades, so coquettishly aglow
As seven stellar sisters so divine,
Embraced my mortal psyche, so far below,
With the sibling light of their rise and shine...
First to withdraw into daybreak's beams
Of Aurora mastering...

Saturn Through a Telescope
Saturn through a telescope
is bite sized,
like something you could scoop up from a bowl
with a spoon
Saturn's rings through a telescope
look like a little Hula hoop
or like the part of a plastic Saturn toy
a toddler would grip
Saturn through a low-powered telescope
does a bit of a hula itself
before coming into view
But then there it is.
As you peer into the telescope,
it's a portal to a two dimensional object
But for some
its a portal
to questions that form at the speed of light. ...
