Solar Shift
In the comfort of society’s arms, I tasted the sensations of paradise amuse
Concealed of its wraith, promise the world would get better of its reminisce dues
Souls in the calling of night given angelic wings
Things are not always as they appear on earth when the cold wind stings
Destruction of your temple echoes the disparage of the mind when the heart sings
True love of Mother Earth’s cloak brings the trinity of life, death, and resurrection to human beings
A warm veil shelters within life, when self-comfort is lost...

I Don’t Want Perfect Love
I get that from the universe
Or God
Or whatever it is out there
That’s greater than anything I could ever be
I want messy love
Crazy love
Sweaty love
And yes, even broken love
The kind of love that doesn’t fit perfectly
But feels perfect
The kind of love the has fuck ups
And make ups
The kind of love that has voices raised in passion
And voices silenced by the beating of our wild hearts
As we map out every inch of skin
While gazing into each other’s eyes
Learn me
As I learn you ...
Or God
Or whatever it is out there
That’s greater than anything I could ever be
I want messy love
Crazy love
Sweaty love
And yes, even broken love
The kind of love that doesn’t fit perfectly
But feels perfect

The kind of love that has voices raised in passion
And voices silenced by the beating of our wild hearts

Diary of a Madman: Strangers
I'm in a train full of strangers
which takes me to a place of strangers
I will work there with yet strangers
who treat me as street rangers
They say it's dangerous
to place your trust in strangers
How strange it is!
For they themselves were strangers
I'm no stranger to strangers
I prefer strangers to them life-arrangers
If this venture is to fight strangeness
Then I'm adventurous
to show you what human nature is
which takes me to a place of strangers
I will work there with yet strangers
who treat me as street rangers
They say it's dangerous

How strange it is!

Games Within Games
Words play games with spirits on this page, existing in
our heads to tell lies of truth or laugh and cry in the
cathedral of the mind. Let sighs of wonder or silent
weeping echo and reverberate through the empty
halls of the soul as the game illuminates base desires
or honor the golden image we will never find. With
tokens of the dead we move across the table to the
rhythm of dice made of hopes and dreams as our fates
are cast across the board, landing on squares that take
our all. Do not pass go, do not collect two hundred
dollars,...

Love > Fear
And what, please tell me, is actually important?
A tangible task would make me
much
more
comfortable.
Is it
to know the names of the birds on my morning walk,
notice the springing up of crocuses
(purple hope in a season of mud)
and to rejoice in the sunrise on my face?
After all,
I am an insignificant speck –
surely this is all that can be expected of me
as I drift, unattached,
through my brief moment in the universe.
live, laugh, love….
Or is it
to...

Glimpses of a Time Fading
I went to church every Sunday
worked my hands to the bones
made good money
bought me and my wife a home
we had big dreams
most of them fell short
rented an R.V.
was gonna travel the roads
too many responsibilities
set that on the back burner
got into politics
voted conservative like my father
no one is ever prepared for tragedy
lost my job, my dog
tried to keep it together
but nothing seemed to go right
worked a few dead end jobs
never got far
it's hard to start over when you're older
took...

Eternity
I sit,
Quietly leafing
Through
The tattered pages
Of an old
Hymnal;
There is
Something here;
So remote,
So near;
I bow my head,
Eyes open,
Mutely asking
For mercy.
I cannot
Shake
From my mind
The inexplicable
Eternity
Written
On my heart.
Quietly leafing
Through
The tattered pages
Of an old

Diary of a madman: Skyfall
My body is getting heavy
Is the sky falling down?
I look around in horror
People are creating labyrinthic roads with their light steps
Making cute philosophies with their wet bodies
They always say:
This guy doesn't care if the sky collapse
This guy will outlive us all
Funny
I began to imagine the falling of the sky
The stars which hold our fate pour down like hailstones
and break into pieces
The moon rolls over in front of me
and fails to hide its dark side
And, there's no longer need to learn how to fly ...

Sugar Festival Night
Sugar Festival Night
“Bob, why do you sit there reading news magazines all afternoon? Wouldn’t chatting with your beautiful wife be more interesting? You did marry me after all. And we are in Turkey. We speak the language. Let’s go out and mingle with the crowd.”
“Pat, I know being home while I am working at the base must get lonely. But I will make it up to you. Tonight we are going to the Sugar Festival.”
“I’ve heard about it from the general’s wife while gardening and being patient for your return as a proper wife should.”
