I met a young girl with a face of a leper
as I browsed some travel books at the local store down on the lower east side
I heard her mother was raped on a bed of nails
she was known as a pillow biter
her bruises were covered with makeup

Dead guy in the corvette
He shot that dude like it was nothing
I never seen anything like it in my life
He pulled up to the red light
Got out of his car
He walked over to the Corvette and fired three shots into the drivers face
He then calmly returned to his car
He had the music up really loud
Some horrible 10th rate rap from today
Pure shit!
He just wasted that fucker!
Anyway,
The light turned green and he took off
So did everybody else
Except for the dead guy in the Corvette
I never seen anything like it in my life

The Boy in the Woods
I lived with my father in a huntsman's cottage in the woods that local children called haunted, and which attended upon me an atmosphere that I hardly deserved. On warm days my father would let me take the horse through the woods and across the eleven miles to school, on wet days I'm surprised I didn't drown several times in the muddy bog engendered by the rains.

Mistakes can be deadly

He would walk home the same route every day
It wasn't the greatest neighborhood
Hobo's were always near the liquor store he would stop by each evening
He'd buy a bottle and have it finished by the time he arrived home
Trash littered the streets & sidewalks
He would always look down to see if any scratch-offs were thrown on the ground
Once he found a used scratch-off that had a 2 dollar...

Always get to know someone before visiting them
My good friend who I met several months back asked me to visit her in Texas
This was the 1st time ever coming to the Lone Star State
HELL YEAH!
We've spoken online, on the phone & through e-mail
She's a great woman
Knowledgeable, inquisitive, personable & very attractive
She lived quite far from the airport, so I decided to have an uber driver pick me up
The drive was over an hour
I told her that I was going to call when I arrived
When I finally arrived, I couldn't believe how much property she had
Living on the east coast, we don't...

She's waiting on line at a grocery store
She's buying a few items for dinner tonight
When she pulled out her wallet, she dropped her billiard ball she carries with her at all times

The number on it was "1"
This was from a pool table she had many many years ago

I have no food & water

Someone comes into the room and yells HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
A bunch of other people make their way into the room
They're all blowing into party favors and balloons are all around
I don't recognize any of them

One person says to another
