I GOT KIDS TO FEED
Ooh that chronograph would look good on my wrist
Though I like it, it’s really a want and not a need
I know I could walk around the office and flaunt it
I have the money for it but dang it I got kids to feed!
I’ve been a hankering to go on a long vacation
Go to Pamplona and run with the bulls in the stampede
But I’m getting a little too old for these shenanigans
I’ve been dreaming of skydiving but I got kids to feed!
Though I’m in a good place as far as income is concerned
There was a point when my family had some tough times
I had...

Inner Child
I am as a child lost in the forest
walking under the scary sounds
of rustling leaves without the light
the sounds as ghosts floating around
I cringe fearful as the woods whispers
as if they are sharing secrets
with unseen scary night creatures
that only walk in the dark of night
I feel like I stumble on a fairy ring
when the moon shines through brightly
the beauty around me seems to sing
dancing around with happy glee
I say a prayer for the child
lost within the age of mine
walking under the scary sounds
of rustling leaves without the light
the sounds as ghosts floating around
I cringe fearful as the woods whispers
as if they are sharing secrets
with unseen scary night creatures
that only walk in the dark of night
I feel like I stumble on a fairy ring
when the moon shines through brightly
the beauty around me seems to sing
dancing around with happy glee
I say a prayer for the child
lost within the age of mine

Gratitude
So you want it real. . .as in honesty—
the kind that rattles your spirit
as a straight-up shot of whiskey,
no rocks or fruity drinks;
well, okay. . .
mine is gratitude
because it's 100 proof, real
honest and true—
it's also handmade
from my own copper still
See, at my age, I know
what conflicts are
regardless of circumstance—
mere opportunities to grow
regardless of resolution
They propel the vibration
of our evolution toward Unity
while...

If MAGA only searched their soul
as often as they bitched
then they would know some self control
like people peace enriched:)
But it's not easy thinking free
when rage is all you've got,
and white privilege, conveniently,
in charge of every thought.
It's a cage known as THE COMFORT ZONE,
which fears of strange abuse
from changing habits to atone
for morals in disuse.
And so we find them destitute
of hope for future fun
without solving their next dispute...
by triggering their gun.

Joy Of Pain
The joys of life,
Seems to rush on by
It's only the pains,
That truly want to hang around awhile
Seems to rush on by
It's only the pains,
That truly want to hang around awhile

No Time For Regret!
No time for regret that belongs to yesterday.
We cannot change what's been and gone -
So why waste the energy?
What can't be fixed might drive us crazy,
And life's too short for that!
Let's embrace it, come what may -
Celebrate a brand new day,
YOUR WAY!
A future unknown.
Haha! I'm the last person to revel in the unknown -
Anyway, it sounded good!
But hey, there is some merit in it -
Feeling excited about what's to come,
While now is simply an unwritten book.
It's easy to get bogged down fearing the worst, ...

People
I don’t wanna cry anymore
I don’t wanna feel
I don’t wanna lie anymore
I don’t wanna kneel
Kneel at the mercy of others
Kneel for their respect
Kneel for their worthiness
Ignoring the neglect
My heart pangs with pain
Body filled with disdain
I want love and pleasure
And yet I continue to refrain
I’m stuck at the mercy of others
I’m hiding under my covers
The world makes me afraid
People make me afraid
I don’t wanna feel
I don’t wanna lie anymore
I don’t wanna kneel
Kneel at the mercy of others
Kneel for their respect
Kneel for their worthiness
Ignoring the neglect
My heart pangs with pain
Body filled with disdain
I want love and pleasure
And yet I continue to refrain
I’m stuck at the mercy of others
I’m hiding under my covers
The world makes me afraid

The Dark Is...
The dark is, most times,
soothing to be with
late at night.
He'll deny the light of things
I don't want to talk about;
bribe the sun to come back later.
When the hurt tries to breach
he slides a key in the lock,
places a keep out sign
over the door.
He calms the waters inside
stirred by life.
Dries my drenched sadness.
And when the sun must intrude;
when it shouts to be let in,
he filibusters, delays the inevitable.
But in the meantime
he helped find missing...
soothing to be with
late at night.

I don't want to talk about;

Turned My Back
Turned my back on
The world that turned its back on me
With a dagger orbiting
My central sunlight.
Trustworthy blade,
Blood brotherly handshake,
Swapping lifelines,
Hand and spine.
The gleaming reflection,
Sharpened edge,
Cuts through what
Blinds and binds.
The audacity to
Earthen cosmos
Understand a star and
Grab ahold of chance.
In my head,
Gravity weighs,
Inward befallen,
To betray,
Consumed serpentine,
No light escapes
A black...

No poem today
There shall be no poem today.
The thoughts will not be corralled.
I’m an amateur sheepdog
running circles
yapping aimlessly
at an unruly flock,
each going their own way.
So, sorry – there’s no poem here.
There shall be no poem today.
We’re out of stock.
And the sun shining through the spider plant
on the windowsill
is casting a highly disorganized shadow,
as my brain’s fingers
also reach randomly
in too many unfocused directions.
There’s just no poem to be found.

Pandora’s Box (A Humbly Response)
There are various dimensions of religion theologies, for me to name, and several religion forums for me to entertain your thoughts. However, you stated. ‘All Christians quote from the Bible’ in as much, any person who walks this planet, accepts the preference of his or her religion, and dutifully adhere to its teaching.
In addition, only in your mind, Heaven does not exist. For many, other than atheists, what or should I say who we call our Deity, is a personal choice, and to seek a higher existence is by faith.

It Must Be A Duck - with Grace
Listening to the fiddle drip its ink
from the quill's archer string
into the shadow of death
between teeth of the oyster nut
ripping open my shadow
dipping oars in an endless sea
wandering in my philosophy
listening to the fiddle drip its ink
The ink dried upon aged parchment
faded into shades of light blue
words unseen but the message scream
epistles desperate to be heard
from a lover way past eons
confined in a void of deafening silence
a story in disguise secrets to unfold
I sat alone...
