NEEDED
Regardless of the
direction you choose
to look, there is a
desperate need for
leadership on all levels,
among all people. Here

We as one love always and forever as we each change each others life and world. 🌍 For I knew that you were the one that was sent, from above to really brighten up my life and show me that love, does exist in some people's hearts and the minds of those who haven't given up, on finding that special one. vulnerability
morphing and expanding to meet my future
forgotten dreams awaken
will I be a published author? maybe
isn't funny I'm shy all of a sudden
it took me years to get naked on the page
meeting the world nude in my vulnerability
frightens me terribly
I'm taking the plunge
it's now or never
fate has called and I answered
writing is my life
the passion that drives me
excited but scared
what if they love me
and I become famous
worse what if I'm hated
revealing the deepest parts of me

It's hard to tell just what the years will do
and how or why we will be led astray
into a place where nothing makes our day
more than routine melancholy anew.

I search all the time for answers
spend countless hours in self-reflection
it's true...I make changes
but when it comes down to it...
I struggle just to show up
frequently I...can't
my bed has a permanent indentation
in the fetal position
what kind of life is that...
living my existence like it's a cameo appearance

A Choice
What if you were given the choice of living
an alternate reality?
In a strange forest, a labyrinth of bark doors.
A life where your dreams are radiant diamonds seen.
Would problems crumble like twigs upon the forest floor?
Or does always exist a veil of unimagined terror's sheen.
A false peace.
Some memories refuse to easily fade, would thoughts
from the life you abandoned, permissionless, invade.
You will exist extremely haunted by
your unfulfilled deeds and unplanted seeds.
Make the life you already have hold meaning. ...

I've been having a hard time with Rod Jesus
(you have to call him by both names)
He's trouble by the minute.
Taking stuff from other students
Blurting out nonsense
Refusing to stay in his seat
Spilling Skittles all over the floor,
smashing them into the carpet with his heel.
By afternoon,
I sometimes lose it.
He's hyperactive
He's also bored
Two weeks into fifth grade,
he's reading below a first-grade level.
Worksheets
may as well be written in Hindi.
Yesterday,
before beginning...
