Crawl, Stand, Walk
Hi World, I've realized that I'm content/ I use to fight my reality and didn't relent/ but the more I changed the more I began to resent/ My recent changes/ my personal changing stages/ only brought me back to the place of lack/ almost like I'm only able to stack and or perpetuate the problems in my life/ Frustration grew and I thought my means of salvation is through the barrel of a gun or knife/ My personal Strife kept me at a low state/ However I'm not mad/ I guess you can say I'm glad/ it seemed so bad and I was at a place where I kept saying I wish things were different or I wish I had/...

I Learned
I learned not to ask why
Futility isn’t for me anymore
I learned that 1+1 doesn’t always equal two
Sometimes it equals two ones
I learned to put lotion on my skin before I towel dry
I’m not a fish, scales are unnecessary
I learned that validation always comes at a cost
And the currency is usually too high
I learned that walking away isn’t always leaving
Sometimes people still rent space in your head if you let them
I learned that if dressing the part means I have to conform
I’d rather be naked ...

I Can Do This
It is Dangerous
To have Faith
In yourself
Without
A little Commonsense
To Understand
The abilities
You have now
Need to be
Upgraded
To the Abilities
You need to have
To have Faith
You can do
What your thinking
Or one will
Crash and burn
Into the scrub lands
Of twisted Bitterness
Of what ifs
Poor me denials
To have Faith

October Poems 2024 >> the flicker of my flame
A poem for each day of the month in which I was born
October 08
the flicker of my flame
the plans i’ve planned have withered in my hands,
upon whose page have raged my shattered dreams;
my golden hopes have slithered, like quicksands,
out of my grasp, into the cracks and seams
of circumstance. if i could dance again
upon young rocks whose shocks my spirit spurred,
or hoola-hoop across the vast terrain,
where danger and adventure lines are blurred:
might not then i my filigree again
replenish well, with...

Just Speak
As I stare at the spiders web
I wonder what comes next something joyful
Or some pain put back into me
Each minute passes we think there are more than these
Next moment life changes rearrange my soul
So if you’re breathing suck all life out of it
Don’t go to your bed of roses regrets in your casket
Spit it out your Bible anything that passions you
You can’t take anything with you across the river
So stand up strong chest out
The world can’t hurt that I will not allow
Put your life’s dream into...

Promoting General Welfare
Knowing nothing of axiomatic things
Trads claim liberals are always at fault
while slavishly revering mad kings
and their authoritarian gestalt,
so much so they think they own liberty
and the bluest skies where her nature thrives
from sea to crude oil polluted sea
tainting all but aristocratic lives
as they crush that old American dream
where the effort of the poorest old slob
to live out their years as those dreams may deem
without being dependent on a job
that never had respect for any dreams...
that didn't exploit...

compromise
The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion
and the will to help others.”—Albert Schweitzer
it is unwise
to compromise
the truth,
whether the time
be of your prime
or youth.
the ways of man,
whether by plan
or chance,
mark well from birth,
upon the earth,
his dance.
it is unkind
to wear a blind
passport
to shield the eye
from those who cry:
in short,
turn not aside
those who must ride
the storm;
reach out and bless
those who know less ...
and the will to help others.”—Albert Schweitzer

United In The Murky Depths Of Epiphany
The adventure is in your mind
The planet is crushed in the palm of my hand
When time tries to drown the dream
Inside your mind, just come with me
It's high time to turn the key
And leave here for eternity
When life turns a blind eye
I will help and make you see
It's high time to turn the key
And leave here for eternity
The planet is crushed in the palm of my hand
When time tries to drown the dream
Inside your mind, just come with me
It's high time to turn the key
And leave here for eternity
When life turns a blind eye
I will help and make you see
It's high time to turn the key
And leave here for eternity

Ohio State University what a beautiful campus, such great hospitality.
The Fraternities and Sororities made me so proud. This is a very nice college to invest your future in. This college offers Health and Mental Services for all students.

Write me a love poem
I tease you
and you tease me back
I say - I love you
and you say - I hate you
giving me a mocking smile
you cry with your heart
but not with your soul
the sadness never lasting long
and always replaced by a devilish grin
.
sunlight streaming through my mind
casting multicolored light
as rainbows playing on the walls
looking into your eyes
I that find rainbows live there too
oh how I love
this endless romance
chasing the love hiding in your heart
I am a cat chasing a laser light
...
and you tease me back
I say - I love you
and you say - I hate you
giving me a mocking smile
you cry with your heart
but not with your soul
the sadness never lasting long
and always replaced by a devilish grin

skyscraper
Skyscrapers are the ultimate symbol of human ambition,
rising above all obstacles.”—Anonymous
ambitions
drag me by the pulsing shoulder,
by rations
limited that make me bolder;
too soon i
find that failure is a raper
to ruin my
feet short of their high skyscraper.
the journey,
though an uphill climb forever,
shall earn me
all the fruit of my endeavour;
sharp bruises
shall my passions not diminish,
excuses
weary not what i must finish.
naysayers
vex my spirit with dissuasion, ...
rising above all obstacles.”—Anonymous

If All Goes To Plan
If my life span's at least eighty-three years,
I've seven-thousand, nine-hundred and two
days to laugh, smile, sing, and shed tears
and as many rebirths
for with each Sunrise
a new life is given
a fresh privilege to prove
that I'm perfecting
this grand thing we call living.
