Middle Child: Black Sheep Goes Far
All those years of waiting in line
To borrow a little attention, space, and time,
Made you grow into the independent being that you are.
With this independence, you’ve gone distantly far.
It may have led you down some troublesome roads
But also made you a strong survivor as your story unfolds.
You’ve learned the art of living all on your own
Dancing through life, whichever way the wind has blown.
Whether surrounded by people or utterly alone
You’re the LIFE of any party, all on your own.
In search for a place in which to...

Verities
What is true?
Love?
Pain?
Sex?
Rain?
What is rare?
Care?
Kindness?
Generosity?
Thoughtfulness?
What is right?
Self?
Fair?
Opportunity?
Clean air?
What is wrong?
Love?
Pain?
Sex?
Rain?
Love is to pain as sun is to rain ...
or is it?
We all hold certain personal truths
We all hold certain personal pains
We all hold someone dear in our hearts
We all hold secret dreams in endless refrain
When black is white and white is black ...

The Path Of Victory
Worth thousand smiles,
Of sand and stones across millions.
Engraved paths; walks among dessert.
Exchange of miles and minutes... Time.
Birth of clouds above waters of the heavens.
Creeds and voices pierced sound of light and oblivion.
The touch of voids incubation.
Worth thousand smiles of denial.
The scent, the touch of betrayal.
Blinded petitions of solid interpretations.
Fantastic absentism among entertainers.
Worth thousand smiles of pictures in white, rose, pink, and blossoming temptations.

Carrying On
Is life only defined by death?
Opposite energy state run flat
Heartbeat on then switched off
Brain electrified then naught
Do the spaces in between the bookends even matter?
Yes, but no ...
Do the bookmarks carry weight?
Do the contents?
Does the atomic cost of life outweigh ... death?
Do the weights we carry suffocate us in the end?
Do our expiration dates ultimately do us in?
Does cosmic legerdemain rule us from without? Within?
Does the smile of your loved one make all else irrelevant to the dying box we exist in? ...

A Day In The Life Or How I lived Through High School
(1982-1986+)
Yeah I'm old ... but I remember those days vividly. I was on natural full hormone therapy so a lot of my time was spent staring at women. Braless, panty lines, bending over, walking away, sideways into button bloused caches of mysterious wonderment. I learned how to look a girl in the eyes while her nipples poked through her T-Shirt. No small feat even today.
Sex seemed even more everywhere than todays online porn culture, with most advertisements screaming sexual innuendos and double entendres like a middle school boys club. I genuinely...

Poetry Is....
Poetry is water; ever gentle and still
Timid and shapeless, yet as vast as its will
The home of all life cursed with death’s chill
Calm as a lamb but ruthless to kill
Poetry is fire; scorching through hearts of men
An unattainable desire to release ones Zen
A raging candle with an unextinguishable pen
Yin and yang, drilling wisdom since the first den
Poetry is life; raw energy that breathes
A spirit of creation, ceremonial wreathes
Inspiration and motivation it needs
The purest of hearts is what makes it succeed

For Your Entertainment
When we look inside our hearts, I mean really look. What do we see?
What do you see?
I see, my kids, my family and friends
I see, some special people past and present
See great memories, great tragedies and great promise
I see a dusty warehouse full of old dusty and for the most part useless, yet incredibly meaningful things
The Petty Blue bike I bought with my own money
It getting stolen and destroyed by a jealous friend hanging from a tree in a loved past place
My first real kiss(there is at least a chapter or two around...

got stuck in the garden 2/30
got stuck in the garden
this is how to get shot
strolling late to the party
doubly fashionable by missing a year
the house torn by the garden wild
fleshy raspberries buddha squash
champagne vines climb the fir next to a disassociated lamppost
the gussied barrow misses a leg in the crook there the crock has a teardrop hole
driveway carless & only becomes engaged by the light rays which moves still things in shadow
flowers write letters to the sky
people were once upon a time the creationists
of dust & are

Destiny
Everyday cannot be a love song
and poetry is the candle, not the light
nor can darkness stand defiant
despite an endless night
So the sun conquers
to unfold another day
where I will speak my truth,
hold my own,
make my way
and poetry is the candle, not the light
nor can darkness stand defiant
despite an endless night
So the sun conquers
to unfold another day
where I will speak my truth,
hold my own,

Complicity in the Stars
When fragile
things collide
into constellations,
when struck
the glass volleys
off graphite.
At once
nothing like it was,
a container un-becomes
itself,
several imparts meet
the meat of a thigh.
Sharp transparent
hubris of life
finishes on tile,
sharp beading red dwarves
upon skin,
these are
the collusions
of nightly fragility.

FATHER above all
FATHER above all fathers,
Thank you for your existence,
Your love,
Your kindness,
in the midst of all uncertainty
Looking back to all that i've missed.
things i couldn't grab with my thoughts,
a pillar of salt, i dont want to become
Instead I just smiled today,
I don’t regret,
not celebrating this day with gifts,
dinner, hugs and all that stuff
son and daughters do
It may sound like an excuse or a shield
I put up to protect,
But today again I smiled,
I smiled at the odds,
and i kissed goodbye to...
