The Machine is...2024 (Depressing Poem Warning)
The machine is
Hungry for money
Thirsty for blood
The machine is
The breathless immortal
Sniffing at your door
Screaming in the dark
The machine is
Born from the machine
Heart frozen
Soul washed
Mowing forests
Carving deserts
Leaving pits of filth
Toxic air
Toxic sea
Toxic land
Toxic animals
Belts of slaughter
Under Poison rain
Turning millions insane
The machine is
The mechanical vampire
Sucking on your fear
Draining time ...
Hungry for money
Thirsty for blood
The machine is
The breathless immortal
Sniffing at your door
Screaming in the dark
The machine is
Born from the machine
Heart frozen
Soul washed
Mowing forests
Carving deserts
Leaving pits of filth

The machine is

All Ye Who are Good Fellows...
A conservative mind is a terrible thing;
incapable of absurd reduction,
and forever fixed on cash and bling
there's no time for sleuth deduction
whereby solutions may be found,
with liberality of thought,
and by fresh diversity crowned
to undermine the money despot
dedicated to hate and rage
in all four corners of the Earth
and have been that way in every age;
opposed to constant grace and mirth,
which most of us would love to know...
before we fill fresh graves below!

dedicated to hate and rage

Gaza
With whole families in an instant snuffed out
I know that there's no fortress sound enough;
no wall, no border, and no keen redoubt
which would ever convincingly rebuff
all that the forces of hate may compel
to cascade down upon the open meek;
all of the elements of vassal hell
predisposed to turning an abject cheek,
and by such a turn to press an attack
that no old combat honor would condone.
Only the faux virtuous brainiac,
who was by the risk all too crudely prone ...

Sometimes the rain hurts
Here in the early morning light I saw it
the memorial candles still lit.
A mother buried her child and a piece of herself
and got nothing in return but a picture on a shelf.
Blood doesn't wash off the mind, I've tried
sometimes the fear is best kept inside
but nobody cares about the chalk outline
or the fact everyone claims to be fine
but really never seeing the track marks
or the drug deals going down in the back parks.
It's truly a shame, the world our kids have received
but I think it's worse than can be perceived.

The street of grest.
Long ago when we
Walked down the
Valley
The roads were filled
With trees of pine woods
Orange and yellow woods
I carry a message amidst a jar
Of blue sinking green
The boy hit me hard
To collect my earnings
I warned him
Still he couldn't stop.
I lay fainted and tainted
Speaking to woods
Of crethen.
Lasping time of ease
Moon on morning
A night where the chill
Crows sits on my
Windows.
I wine my tea
Phone rings
I took a break
To write the
And a get a cup

transphobes united
rowling glares at us
like a gang of does
wearing long antlers
writing on a community
she has no idea about,
if she had a rap name
it would be notorious T.E.R.F,
ginger locks, long frock, snake
slit smile needing a large
pacifier to suck on
magdalen berns seething
above in her 2000 L word
haircut, egging on this bitch
on her clouded platform,
fuck macy gray
for stating the only real
women are the ones born
with female genitalia
says the one who popped

I know what my spirit says
Look how far you’ve come
and all you've done.
Still, shadows lick my feet.
I know I’m blessed.
But what I really wish
is for blessings to be commonplace.
An everyday occurrence
for each human to experience.
I've seen those suffering
while seeking direction
—gazing out the window
from an office cubicle
pretending to be content
with a noose around their neck.
Staring endlessly
into traversing clouds
beyond whatever assignment
is...

Doggerel for Kissinger’s Tomb
When Kissinger won the Nobel Peace Prize, satire died.” - Tom Lehrer
Rest in peace, Henry,
your work has been done,
the bodies are littered
by race and by ton.
The chicken-egg tree
has withered in flame,
its once protectees
have all done the same.
And in the east
a boy recalls
the yard where watermelons grew,
as on that yard a warhead falls.
But Benjamin says
the lad is a threat,
so on Ramadan
it’s orphaned he’ll get.
So rest in peace, Henry,

do not mistake my politeness for kindness
seven years ago
you would think
differently of me
fists slamming
down on counters,
kicking pretentious
bins across rooms
middle fingers
pointed towards
everybody who
were clueless,
they didn't
understand back
then and they still
don't understand
today either
couldn't help
feeling like that
22 year old again
receiving that
phonecall,
i wanted to throw
the entire world
into the ether
but i'm an old dog
who's been playing ...

A Brief History of Hating Women
Since youth you’ve been obsessed
by how the ills of all society
are lain at women’s doors like skins.
From Potiphar’s wife to Mrs Clinton,
it’s always women’s fault.
She wasn’t a good enough mum,
she couldn’t keep mum,
she slept around all over town
or seemed at least like that’s
what she wanted. Or else she was frigid.
You realise in the end that no true road exists between the rock of what men want and what
you’d like to be, a hard place undefined.
The truth is that you’re just as flawed as men, as great, and grim,...

State Terrorism
A young man recently received life sentence for illegal possession of a firearm.
This action by the government of Jamaica is no less than oppression.
Some may disagree with me, but the tyrannical state alone should not be armed.
The stupid police like to brand ghetto youths as criminals and gunmen.
Consider the fact that the biggest criminals are politicians, the members of parliament.
Moreover, every person who uses a gun is a gunman or a “gunwoman.”
If we did not have resistance in our society to stand up for our rights,

You think what you don't see won't hurt you
She is twitchy, her skin trembling,
she leans back with head raised, eyes wide,
nostrils flared, shifting her weight from
one leg to the other, she paws the ground
Horses are a nervous lot, what she
does not understand, she sees
as dangerous, so blinders are worn
so she can only see what is ahead:
Children grimy, wordless with empty
bowls and eyes that scream, she sees
the corrupt man cross the road, but
these, that man, she has seen before
But...
