Father's Day Poems

Sitting here this morning
enjoying the suns rays
reflecting upon life again
what a great journey

Through tragedy and victory
and all that's lain between
times and personalities
I've met along the way

There is a fraternity
to which many do belong
some are there willingly
but some just don't belong

Everyday we pay our dues
though the members seldom meet
taking on the challenge
seven days a week

through good times
and sad times too
the challenges we meet
always moving forward
never do we retreat...

To my Dad and others I'd like to send
Happy Father's Day to the Real Fathers/ Real Men

I applaud and salute you for all you are doing
as a father myself, I'm more than a little aware
of the challenges we face
though because, it is such a challenge that's why
not everyone can run this race
we know that many men are qualified
to be 'sperm donors' so what's the big deal?
it doesn't take A MAN to acheive that status,
even teens can pretend 'on the real'
