All That Is
arcing storyline revision
virtual reality of mine
undertaking phasing frequent;
frequented thought I find
myself caught up in
while making time to kill
wandering this estate of mind
where I dwell in possibility

[ CC ] There's a certain slant of morbidity
tabeled behind curtain for autopsy
Enabled, I'm giddy, soon in swoon
n even topsy turvy as if heavy bosomed
Warm, curled up with rigored spined book
Probed, each nook - now cold body of work
Such my depravity, virtually on all fours
entering, gleaning from each organed cavity
meaning from sheltered half-life of yours
every clue regarding its (c)hastened demise -
one's poetry career dearly departing
much too early from this world, Emily

Schizophrenetic Part Seven
There's a certain slant of Silliness
notion bordering on the Assinine
suggesting one providing poetitudes
under multiple profiles must do this
laboriously like a job to Five from Nine -
behave as various gals and dudes
strenuously staying in character(s)
for prolonged duration; his ( or hers? )
grasp of concept tenuous at best
Isn't that what the Catfishers do?
dip their toes in waters to test
personas currently carrying on
continually fooling you that is you
who can't even tell who are who?...

[ CC ] There's a certain slant of Solitude
acquired when in the mood -
a choir sings throughout -
peaceful mind brought about
more so than if deaf and blind
Disgruntled grumblers fall by wayside -
faces wiped clean of grimaces and sneers
Likely to echo should you decide to shout!
For a change of hectic paces
it's definitely Heavenly
Yes, that's what this is -
music to my eyes and ears!

A Quintuple of Poets: Part V
Emily Dickinson, 415 Christian Era
Alexandria, Egypt
eschewed religion
despite horrific consequences;
crucified footsteps
along Via Dolorosa;
questioned theology;
but, wisely
outlining acceptable worship
beyond prayer beads, books
charting astrology;
welcomed all regardless
for who they were;
mathematical language
calculated fibrous anomalies
within her Neoplatonist...

[ NaPo 2019 ] Naked Aspirations
I dearly wish to sleep 'n dream
taking your body in hand
keeping close my Darling Love
however foreign the land
so that upon waking separation
distance breaking our embrace
with its loudly uttered disregard
for these feelings lingering in place
still I will have something of you
to hold - warm flesh souled - cherish
reminding of Aspirations Naked
that my daydreams never perish

[ NaPo 2019 ] Ahavati
Defying not just gravity
but all manner of limitations;
more than southern Starling -
she's larger than life
An emu taking flights;
Aeronautic Vigilante
You'd do well taking lessons -
Spread your wings too!
Taking healthy bites
from baddass Thesaurus Rex
who thinks he owns the block
Head not buried in the sand
No kowtowing, house bound
domesticated egg laying hen
she is, but a peacock instead -
majestic on throne of plumage

[ NaPo 2019 ] Adam'antly and Eve'ning
When comes Morning's early hour -
pristine and clearly crystaled flower
brilliant about me as this one -
round azure womb rebirthing sun -
bivoacked sky abound evacs night -
there's unmistakeable slanted light
speaking to me with great ease
of pleasing infinite possibilities
that I pray to Heaven never ends
while on all fours, God Force Source
tends these Desires of mine and yours;
its knees muddied in Our
Garden of Eden

[ fAwL ] Love Dashed To Hell
Heart stutter-stepped
skips an even further tock
ticked whenever imagining
a'licked visit paid by you[d]
Miserable, the babble -
uneven its beat'n path
as I'm steadily paced
in my fortress of Solitude
Answering, I'd come
to greet you in haste
spiritedly - wickedly -
perhaps spritely nude
yet chaste, I no more
report to the...

I could suffice for Him, I knew
I could suffice for Him, I knew
When I was but a child.
To think of Him as Father, too,
Though was He meek and mild?
The way I know is opposite
From what is meant to be.
His voice intent, mine hesitant,
This force ‘tween God and me.
Yet to suffice and not forsake,
Despite complete withdraw.
But is it more than I can make;
What comes before the Fall?
In chess of Thunder’s own device
I leave the game bereft.
In knowing Him, I could suffice
With no more pieces left.

Two Butterflies Went Out At Noon
Two Butterflies went out at Noon
With party hats and scarves.
They saved all year and very soon,
A merry Plan they carved.
They caper’d high and were in awe
Sight-seeing at the zoo.
They took in sights they never saw,
Had tea with macaroons.
They made a friend along the sea
With rainbow-colored hair.
Play’d hide & seek down by the quay,
That’s where they lost him there.
So on a whim they took a cruise
To Catalina Isle,
Where flowers bloom & cockatoos,
They might be gone a...

I Measure Every Grief I Meet
I measure every Grief I meet
According to my Log,
And make a mark when e’er repeat
To rudder through the fog.
A sexton with a feather’d quill,
The columns may accord.
As gentle Keeper of the Will,
And noted for the Lord.
A thankless task to other men,
As diggers from the Past.
But humble servant that I am,
With Lists of ev’ry caste.
My suit of rags is rent and torn,
To walk among the Dead.
Save only for the Mac’ I’ve worn
That keeps rain off my head.
