Welcome back to SpotLight, I’m Damian DeadLove. Got another great episode tonight, that I hope you’ll enjoy. This interview segment is meant for the DU community, as a way to get to know about the poet/poetess behind the writes.

     Our guest tonight is a poet who calls, New York, home. He’s been a member here since January of 2024. So a year and change, folks.

     He’s a gifted poet and storyteller with some facts sprinkled in for good measure. He also knows what great music is, which gets you high marks in my book.

I didn't know how to gracefully release
an emotional undercurrent
in a manner that was clear
and concise
without becoming the monster I hate

My sleep was awoken by the noise of a Lion, a Cricket and a Raccoon . It was weird. I looked outside and there was a red brick road that led to my garage. I walked into the garage and their were the three having tea with cookies. They all stopped whispering and looked at me in disgust. They asked me to please leave and follow the blue brick road for wisdom and the truth. I asked if I could have one cookie. The cricket stood up and said, "if you don't leave were going to chew on your body."
