The dopest kid on lot is too busy smiling    
and experiencing the romance  
that he had heard was drowned dead by nostalgia
to talk too much about who he knows.  
 
He has no idea why alot of other folks
seem to pay more attention to the kids        
that have pins on their hats
but he likes the art     
and see's more value in their esoteric significance        
than in the possibility of increasing stature.      
       
He knows that everything is wide open right now    
and that the band sounds amazing.        
He could care less that they sounded tighter at Deer Creek
in nineteen-eighty whatever     
 
The dopest kid on lot is going to dance with the prettiest girl  
not because he is balling hard      
but because he was next to her        
when she came out of her shell.        
       
The dopest kid on lot deserves a kick down    
so when you see him        
hand him a sheet.
