What a wise old sparrow said to a pair of washed up young lovers.
They breathed effortlessly
as the tide swept them to the bay
and the fragments of understatements
are what sent they astray
"Oh continue young lovers"
a sparrow said from above
"the crows will watch over you
and the owls will send their love
remember to hold each other
closer then all before
and I'll remove any anxieties
that hold your feet to the floor
The owls will make your clothes
as you sit and hold her
while the crows will fend off the vultures
to ensure you make her pur sir,
oh young lovers, never go astray
never miss the kiss at the beginning of the day
please tell me you'll remember
each others souls in the dark
if you do, you'll find that
each december
you haven't fell apart
Please remember
always to make her laugh
hold her close
and enwrap your calves
So in the coldest twilights
she'll press her body closer
and with all of these highlights
you won't realise you've grown older."
as the tide swept them to the bay
and the fragments of understatements
are what sent they astray
"Oh continue young lovers"

"the crows will watch over you
