Lonely Life Dancer

Fiery thoughts, with searing needs
Blanket nights in solitary prisons
Within the hearts the wants
engulfs, full might the needs
for answered calls
Alas the night is still
The cold wind blows

Toss the slumber to the side
No more warmth the cover gives
Nor comfort of similar needs
Nothing touches the shivering
Of deep desires to be heard
Or touch or feel or taste
Silent is the silver lighted night

A midnight walk, a slow dance
Rustling dead leaves
Pushed by lonely feet
On nightscapes of grey
Desires colours the air
Paint the world in violet
Yet Nature’s spirit is still

Sighs the heart in defeat
Falling robes on cracked
Dry soil
A slow dance to music
Unheard
But by the naiads
From the bubbly brooks.
