Good way to express the unfortunate

This is a sad poem to read, yet so well written Tommie. The lines that stood out to me are:

"You used to fight on my behalf"

It takes the reader back in time to before these events.

"Everything feels so phony / Loving words go unspoken"

The first line reminds me of the truth that love is an action, not just mere words, but the second really hits home when the reader realizes that not even the words exist anymore.

It's very sad...in a way it's a tragedy.

I believe it can make a person stronger as well...guarded, but take no shit kinda strong..:)

Definitely, there is a positive side to everything. I was in a relationship that ended with me finding out about her cheating and to date that is the most pain I've felt but through that experience I was changed for the better. I became so much stronger. Now I wouldn't change what happened if I could.
