agasp in angst
against the grain
agape the ghost
in secret pain
in and out
begining end
here and there
forever gone
yet back again
agreed
the severed
angel sang
to beg relief
to lift the stain
as memories fade
beneath times rains
like flowers left
on unknown graves
so vain
in their unheeded
calling

Thanks so much Crim, what a wonderful compliment! It seems sort of strange & yet very uplifting, for me to post a poem like the one you just commented on, that I wrote about 25 yrs. ago & that has spent much of it's entire existence during most of those years, buried away (hidden) in a box in the top of my closet (along with over two thousand other poems that have come out of me over the past 43 yrs.), and then to post it on DUP & to recieve a beautiful response like yours, means a whole lot to me, as a fairly frustrated, lifetime artist & semi-closet poet (till the past 13 years, when I finally began to go to occasional poetry readings, open mike type groups or events, & got to read & share some of my works), but it wasn't until I stumbled into & found this incrdible (& great fun!) DUP interactive website, about 8 days ago now, & have been able to post & share about 20 of my poems (recent & old) & seen on my profile page, that over 1,400 other poets & readers have already read my poems, seems almost mind-blowing & amazing to me!
But especially exciting is to receive so much feedback & wonderful (& not so wonderful too!) comments back from other writers & in ones like yours, to surprisingly discover that something I wrote years ago, can still have such an unexpected positive, moving, or inspiring resonance with others, is a really heartwarming, beautiful & touching kind of validation for me, as I am sure it is for you & all the other DUP poets & writers out there, when you & they all receive such encouraging & wonderful responses & comments to your posted poems, just as yours was (& still is) to me here!... Thanks again & I'll be sure to check out some of your poetry the 'next' time I come online to DUP, because it's already 1:08 a.m. here in southern California! - 'Love & Light'...
