The Burden of Loneliness

Twitching fingers
Hard to breathe
Wanting more
But never close

The few weeks  after are glory
But then the longing sets in

The longing for more
For a connection
The longing for someone to take away the loneliness
To rid you of this ache in your chest

Temptation to get rid of it yourself
The possibility of physical harm
Mental anguish
Wearing the body and mind down

The truth shall set you free
But it can also imprison you

Feeling like you are in a world
With a population of 1
While you are surrounded
By those who could careless if you moved on

Bad luck been blowing at my back
Pushing and pulling me
This burden placed upon me is beginning to slip
I am unsure how much longer I can hold it

If my burden is dropped
Total and utter devastaion could happen

I need someone here
Someone to give me strength
Someone to fight away the bad luck
Someone who will stay at my side

But there is no one like that for me
I am destined to suffer
Alone
For an eternity

In this world
With a population of myself
