Red Rage
"We are all like the bright moon, we still have our darker side." ~ Kahlil Gibran
I like to think I am sweet and kind, but...
there is always the other side.
Thoughts I entertain for those I disdain.
I would bludgeon them to death, given the chance.
At the given moment there is no like in my heart!
All I see and feel is Rage - Red!
Then ... mystically, miraculously, the feeling subsides.
And ... I have to contend with my enemies, yet, one more time.

Thanx Magdalena, you are right, better to release it. The weapon I had in mind was one from the ancient days, you know the metal ball with spikes, attached to a chain. Can't remember the name of it for the life of me. LOL!
Thanx again for the read!

Aaah, now I have the name of the weapon, thank you Mourningcloak. A very dangerous weapon indeed, used in those battles of long ago. Thank you for your thoughts on this poem and your great comment!
