Fragile Hope

Flicker on my resting candle
drip wax onto the glass
mold together my world, once in shambles
in the cold darkness, your warmth lasts

steady you rest on wood
loved by your light, I'll find solace
sifting through the pain, I'll seperate the good
with a light to see, I'll find my purpose

sitting in peaceful silence
I'll peer into your calming depths
my back turned to the deadly softness
of the words released by night's breath

flicker on my resting candle
drip wax onto the glass
mold together my world, once in shambles
promise me you'll endure, swear to me you'll last
