And without a date

Walking all alone along, the beach on summers night
Here is something that I found, to be a small delight
As I wander through the sand I look upon the sea
Is that just the image of a man whos here with me
As I no im dreaming, as I look out further on
Oh I feel disheartened as I see now that hes gone
I walk a little farther, and kick along the sand
I think about what I just saw and outward stretch my hand
I think of how he'll walk right up, and take my hand in his
The comfort of a hand in mine, is so sorely missed
I look up to the sky above, and gently do I pray
Please God will you find the man, to help me laugh and play
As I keep on walking and get back to my sweet dream
I feel a warmth of comfort, or so to me it seems
As im walking far ahead from where I started from
Better start on back now, going too far seems so wrong
I turn around and start, my journey to head back
I look along and down the beach, a figure dressed in black
I walk along and here I see, a beauty walking free
As this man approaches, I feel hes ment for me
He walked with grace and presence, of a man of loving kind
I thought about what I had prayed, was still clear in my mind
He walked along and up to me, and held outstretched his hand
I held out mine and took his hold, his grace was fully grand
He smiled and he walked with me, we wandered through the waves
We both discovered through our lives, we both were greiving slaves
We walked the sand most of the night, and held on to our hands
We shared our stories, spoke of life and thought of other lands
So even when we think there is no hope, in life to share
Go into our dreamworld, theres so much hope in there
