Long for friendship
I am a lonely figure on the shadowy hill,
My back to the sun,
My face hidden by a cowl.
I look to my sides
And see others playing on mountains,
Not even glancing at my hill.
But that’s all right
Because I don’t need people
To spot out my hill immediately.
If people glance at it at one point,
Or don’t even look down,
I’ll be all right.
Loneliness is a killer,
But I can withstand it.
As people see my hill
And help me grow,
I’ll be all right.
My back to the sun,
My face hidden by a cowl.
I look to my sides
And see others playing on mountains,
Not even glancing at my hill.
But that’s all right
Because I don’t need people
To spot out my hill immediately.
If people glance at it at one point,
Or don’t even look down,
I’ll be all right.
Loneliness is a killer,
But I can withstand it.
As people see my hill
And help me grow,
I’ll be all right.
