Distorted Song

I was caught up in a dream
far less enchanting than what it seemed
a beautiful haven defeated by a nightmare
it was so unfair
so unfair

it was there that I saw
bleeding cuts from iron chains, so raw
and in the air played a song
it was so distorted and so wrong
just so wrong
so wrong

I remember the sun on my face
the golden light that softly embraced
my heart in warmth and love
before the dark clouds attacked from above
the wind carried the distorted song
that distorted song
that song

and it clashed into my mind
pushing me down to where I was confined
with nowhere left to hide
my safe haven had left me behind
to be chained by it's darkness
it's darkness
the darkness...

all seems so wrong
living in this endless..
