Alone

It was not always this way,
It did not just happen,
But one day, surrounded by love,
I was alone.
 
I wonder, did I fall behind or did I crawl away?
Was it wanting more and finding none?
Why did Love dissolve?
When did I become alone?
 
There was no one else, yet I wished there was,
Was I looking for a her, or for an idea of her.
Regardless, Love was not to be found,
And I remained alone.
 
Hours, Days, Months, Years have passed,
Time has no form where I'm at,
Love is still beyond my reach,
I am sadden that I feel alone.
 
My years have taught me well,
Patience is my strength,
Love is about,
