I knew, I forgot, I remember
Together, we were
brilliant. Our love
served as the catalyst
that enabled our essence
to be untouchable,
unable to perceive,
and merely impossible
to fathom.
Like a game of chess,
you were the queen to
my king, and I was the
king to your queen.
Naked, sweaty, and entangled,
we remain inseparable.
You breathe down my neck,
and lay on top of me, as
I rub my fingers through
hair, the warmth between
your thighs tantalizing my
every last nerve.
Until The tick of the clock
chimes in and the smell
of coffee makes me forget.
Please be patient. The
scent upon my chest still
remains.
